Just to re-iterate.......DC's record to now including results against our illustrious pre season opponents such as Mangotsfield, Gloucester (4 of our goals) and Cribbs Causeway.

Need the signings in by the weekend and need to win the next two games. If we don't, I do fear where we'll end up this year.
Shame it took us 45 minutes to actually get going tonight, as many shots on target as the opposition but ultimately the game was as good as done by half time.

Ok, DC's record to now including results against our illustrious pre season opponents such as Mangotsfield, Gloucester (4 of our goals) and Cribbs Causeway. P18 W3 D3 L11 GF16 GA27 Is that the worse ever record for a rovers manager?

P18 W3 D3 L11 GF16 GA27 Is that the worse ever record for a rovers manager? I wouldn't think so. One season T Cooper was in charge the first game we won was PNE in the FA cup on 2 january. I'd have to look up when we won the first league game. I think it was 3-1 at home

Martin Allen , stuff the pretty football He is in a job and has built his side. Anyone realistic? Don't mean to pick on you but anyone who says DC out should have to back it up with who could/would take over imo. I don't take it as picking,.... Yet!! I said when we were relegated he needed replacing as he was part of the failure for the season . I just think we need someone who is younger but still experienced, off the top of my head after lots of wine I'm struggling, my boy is here shouting Bristol Rovers and it hurts so badly, but we will hear the same old excuses in the morning from management.

P18 W3 D3 L12 GF16 GA27 Extrapolating the above, we'd get 31 points this season and score 41 goals. Taking out the Cribbs outlier on goals we'd be on track for 32 league goals this season.

Have to say, this one is on DC and no-one else. Should never have moved away from 3-5-2, dropping Parkes who was best CB on Saturday, McChrystal and Trotman was always going to be tested against Akinde. Bad, bad mistake from Clarke. Totally agree with this and it's not hindsight I said before game. Any manager who plays 3-4-3 at home last game of the season when you need a point to stay up is clearly into taking crazy risks. I gave DC the benefit of the doubt after last season even though I didn't want him to continue as manager and I really hope that with his players doing it his way we will be successful but I'm about 90% sure we won't be after what I've seen and heard so far.

Feel slightly sorry for DC, the BoD sycophants who can't see the wood for the trees will blame him 100% then gormlessly question why yet another manager has failed miserably at BRFC. I blame the clueless board for appointing him without looking for a better candidate, why give him the job after relegating the club ? You might have a point, he has probably been given the job as someone who would just accept the budget cuts without as much as a whimper. When supporters can't even criticise the BoD what chance has any employed manager of speaking up against them!?

P18 W3 D3 L12 GF16 GA27 You can hardly inc none competitive games played by DC's reserve team in the stats, but having said that if you take those away that's 2 wins in around a dozen games and that includes the lucky 93rd min winning goal in his first game in charge. DC could well be on his bike before the televised FGR game if he can't get a result in the next 2 games, it's a pity NH doesn't go with him as well.

Because giving a 17-year-old or 18-year-old defender their debut in front of 10,000 people in the most important game in BRFC's history wouldn't have been a risk, would it?

I expected us to be unchanged with Brunt maybe being replaced due to lack of fitness. Chopping and changing has cost us. Worryingly, we don't look like scoring for the 2nd consecutive season.

DC's blunders mounting already. 1. starts the season having not completed his signings. 2. too many changes too soon. 3. Parkes, who looked good against Grimsby left out for a new arrival.
