Apparently there were rumours going around yesterday that Henrik Larsson, Dirk Kuyt and some bang average bloke called Dennis Berkamp are considering joining Wael in a consortium to buy Rovers. Please no machine gunning of the messenger as it seems beyond plausible shall we say. Dennis Berkamp šš One of the greatest players to ever grace the game and The Mem. It's not April 1st for quite some time. UTFG š¤”š“āā ļø Would be great if the said three could put on a rovers shirt and play for us

Until foreign investors stop buying lower league clubs it will remain sustainable, it will only change if they ever decide to invest their money elsewhere.
You do wonder why a billionaire based in Kazakhstan decided to buy Wycombe.

Thatās a really good question ( I know it wasnāt aimed at me ) and other than producing 4/5 quality players over the course of that 20 years that we went on to sell for 4/5 million each I see no way you could get a return on your Ā£20,000,000 investment. Football clubs are mostly vanity projects for billionaires or millionaires with hundreds of millions these days. Even clubs as small as ours. If you were worth Ā£30m and you bought Rovers youād have nothing left after about 10 years. Youād have nothing left after a couple of years if you bought the 82ers. It's not just the 82ers that are losing Page 44 of this report seems quite illuminating: www.deloitte.com/uk/en/services/financial-advisory/research/annual-review-of-football-finance-europe.htmlDownload the report and have a look. It's pretty bleak reading. I havenāt got time now Iām cooking a Sunday roast but will later. I used the 82ers as an example I know there are very few clubs out of the 92 that actually make a profit.

The Alsaeeds have not made effort to integrate or get to know the fanbase, it seems strange they bought the club imo. It is weird isn't it. However, maybe when they have tried to say things, it gets over analysed by the fans. So, maybe they have stopped for the moment. I fully expect to hear the stadium development plans by the end of the season. I wonder if it's like when you sell a house with planning permission for a second dwelling in the garden. The increase in value when you sell is greater than the cost of doing the plans and getting the permission. So maybe they won't sell until there is planning permission. Or like the ALQ's did in the past, the son has given the family the costs of his plans and they've told him to forget it and move? The total silence since the residents meetings does seem a bit odd. You sense from the Q&A that the VP attended he was committed to the cause but we've heard very little directly from his father to know if he was similarly committed, and the VP failed to attend both the the club's last Q&A and also last week's SC's Q&A which probably tells it's own story.

I doubt the present group of foreign owners worry too much about profits, if they did then buying the likes of Wycombe, Gillingham, Burton or Carlisle seem wise choices. Look at Rovers we've constantly lost Ā£3m/Ā£4m under Wael but the Al Seead's still invested in the club even though they knew Ā£30m+ needed spending on the Mem & The Quarters.

I read the first post and flicked through a few more (but not all). Iāve met, associated with, worked with, and been friends with many people on a whole range of substances ā¦ but not heard anything as mad and as this. If true, then wow and Iāve seen all.

Kuzhekan No idea what Kuzhekan is at Google suggests that word has no meaning but if you implying I'm wrong then Google suggests otherwise?
