Wael is canny and Safeguarding his investment as well as ensuring new owners are genuinely going to develop the Mem Seems logical to many gasheads like me If he's that canny why did he sell a majority of his shares to the Al Seead's and now, it seems, prefers the other group of investors?

I thought the rumour was that the consortium will be joining Wael to take over the club, not buying him out. It's all guesswork I suppose and very few know the truth. Even those who think they know the truth are assuming their sources are truthful. The Kuwaitis simply do not want to sell. Wael doesn’t want to work with them and dare I say they probably aren’t very keen on him. They be buying him out and he’ll be on his way. Why would Wael not want to work with the people he introduced the club to ?,bit strange.

Because they aren't the people he believed they would be .. they are trying to force him out i hear, not even allowed a say in any decision and now remains silent in board meetings , the two parties are basically not even on talking terms , no matter what's your thoughts on Wael he thought he was smell Ng to decent people, it looks increasingly like they are not as l they made out to be and it's no surprise we are yet to even get a sniff of plans for the upgrading if the mem ... And there is no Dutch takeover coming along that's for sure

Big chats between both parties this week and agreement came too

Seriously though in another sh** stirring move he's also included the Eminem song Clearing Out My Closet. Just all very pathetic. Funny! Well you should be delighted that the Chairman who spent more than any previous owner is now gone. Congratulations, you win.

We’ve not been a serious club this century. Last bit of good business done by a custodian was buying the mem. Another pie departs. Let’s see what the latest pies achieve.

We’ve not been a serious club this century. Last bit of good business done by a custodian was buying the mem. Another pie departs. Let’s see what the latest pies achieve. He gave us the quarters having arrived at an insurance companies social ground. He got us through Covid, he was approachable and in my experience a decent and honorable guy. The man who purchased the Mem who was incredibly fortunate to be about when Bristol RFC were in deep financial mire used to love boasting about how BRFC never cost him a penny. For many of us fans, (besides the Barton appointment) he brought a lot of dignity, positivity and respect, unlike the scruffy looking bus driver before him. Let's revisit this post in a years time to see how really toxic this club is going to become under an owners son playing FIFA 24 in real life. Again, congratulations, you got your wish granted.

I'd say the Quarters is up there too. The absolute bare minimum required at the time and even that was a struggle. Could say the same for a ground. It's still more than anyone since we sold Hambrook.

I don't think a football club can be successful without an individual financing it, even Wycombe have now gone down that route, probably Exeter are the only club now without a rich benefactor.

So any truth in the rumour that the quarters is being sold to a property development company with a lease back of the training facility ?. just one of many on Face paint sadly

Scrolling through this thread is a good laugh.
So much nonsense flying about!
FWIW I reckon if the Kuwaits have just chosen to buy out Wael, that probably suggests they have money. They didn’t have to do it, it shows MORE commitment not less.
No I didn’t hear this down the pub like the rest of you, it’s just basic common sense.
