Love this one, the calm before the storm (as Gary Oldman would say)

Party night in Buenos Airies (for the third night!), imagine texting your friend “I’ll meet you by the Obilisk” 😂

They’re estimating 4 million on the streets of Buenos Airies for the parade! 😳

No sign of Messi on top of the traffic lights yet, LIGHTWEIGHT In fairness if he went up a traffic light every time he won something, he’d be up there more than on the ground! 😂

Think I’ve watched that video about 4 times in a row now. Just incredible. Honestly if we think we’re football mad, we are absolutely nothing compared to the Argentinians. Just look at the scenes of our Euros final in comparison ffs

What guts me is that could have been us and imagine the buzz, which the country sorely needs. Never mind.

Argentina have the best player on the planet, France have the 2nd.
Its about time we started producing these types of players.
It's no coincidence that generally the teams that have these players are the ones that usually end up winning World Cups.
The last time England actually did have, Bobby Charlton, we also won it. Again no real coincidence.

Bellingham may be that player, Foden doesnt do a lot when he is selected imo

Scaloni has had two tournaments and won them both and Southgate has had three tournaments and been found wanting when it matters in all of them. Let's not forget Argentina won the world cup with a dodgy left back and Otamendi at CB. Quite an achievement.

When you have a squad of very decent players at world level, with the greatest of all time conducting them, you’re obviously going to Chuck a few results together👀😂

Plus its the euros, not the world cup which is The Big One

Again no real coincidence. Messi had a great tournament as did Mbappe and atm Messi will be the best until Mbappe takes over. But England are producing very, very good players who just missed out. Harry K missed the pen which had he scored may have produced a different result. But thats football, it can be very fine margins. We are producing some of these players, Bellingham looks exceptional, supported by some world class players. And in the future the stars may align for England in the future, hopefully. Of course the teams with the best players win World Cup, you’d expect that but you can only have one winner of the WC and Messi has been the best player in the world for the last 10 years perhaps but Argentina haven’t produced on the higher stage so haven’t won it despite him. Portugal have never won it despite having Ronaldo, Brazil had Neymar but haven’t won it. Some teams have these great players but never win it, George Best one of the best players ever never even played at a WC, nor Ryan Giggs. This time its been Messi’s time to win it when the stars all aligned for him and Argentina. And in the celebrations that are going on the focus is on Messi and rightly so but the margins between Argentina and France and even England are very narrow. Next time perhaps!! 🙏🙏🙏 UTG!

Not sure I’d blame GS for Harry K missing the pen but I knew you would pirate!! 😉 UTG!

My point was that the teams that have just 1 player who you could consider being the best player in the World generally win the World Cups. They carry their teams through. Whether it's Bobby Charlton, Pele, Gerd Muller, Maradona, Lothar Matthaus, Zidane, Brazilian Ronaldo, Messi etc etc. In 2006 Italy had Buffon and Canavaro although not flair, creative or goalscorers. They were the very best Goalkeeper and Central Defender in the World. They all won Balon D'ors or World Player Of The Years too. Although he didn't win a World Cup Ronaldo still won a trophy for Portugal. It's no coincidence. I agree Bellingham is superb, Foden isn't bad either, will they ever be as good as those I've mentioned? Only time will tell.
