Coughlan produced the worst football to watch I've seen in my time watching Rovers. Credit to Coughlan for the results he got nobody can knock his record while he was here but it was awful to watch, very similar to how Wycombe played under Ainsworth. As for people turning up to watch you are incorrect Roadman. His last home game aginst Southend attendance was 6,797. Taylor last home game 7,411 so despite winning football fans weren't turning up to watch due to shocking style of football. That's a fair statistical comment, but not necessarily fair accurate on it's own analogy. Many attendances fall in peak holiday times, school holiday periods, opposition draw, stagnant times in season or fans affected by financial concerns. The defensive style of GC wasn't easy on the eye for some that want to see fast flowing football and spectacular goals....but if you value hard endeavour, defensive lines, hard to beat, team ethic and constant running, physicality in competition and jch which summed most of this up.... it wasn't all that bad. Like I said, Sunderland away was a good example of this. Southend was hardly a crowd draw, was it? But the 6700 fans....well, how many more might have turned up later in season if we were going for promotion/play offs? So your saying Crawley is a bigger game than Southend and that's why we got a bigger crowd.Sorry but that's crazy.
