I'm really struggling to care. If everything's new then what is left that I supported before?
New ownership. They dont communicate to us. We have no understanding of their expectations of the season. There are serious rumours that need addressing and its radio silence. Rightly or wrongly I liked Wael. For whatever shortcomings he has. He appeared a genuine football fan and we had that day on Gloucester Road. I maybe forgave him stuff but I felt kinda connected to him.
New manager. I like him. But I was never convinced he was the right guy. I have no idea how hes doing in truth, as the board haven't told us what to expect. My gut says he has a lot deal with. But also- why hasn't he made that plain? I get the feeling he still covers for his employers?
New players. Who am I supposed to be connected to? They are all new. We've got rid of all the promotion heros. We have alot of ex city. Dont get me wrong there's loads of talented individuals and maybe some will eventually bed themselves into Rovers folklore. They all appear to play for the shirt. But it doesn't hurt keeping a success from past around the club. Really feel releasing Finley was stupid.
I can barely get a pasty these days. Its just all a bit sh**.

If feels like we're heading for another relegation/major reset? Looking at Swindon's recent results it just shows what getting an Holloway type character can do for a club, we've got a manager you'd probably try and avoid if you saw him sat on a train!!

Tbh that's not how I feel. He's not the reason im unconnected. The board have just driven too much change and with little/ no explanation. Holloway would be a plaster over an ever widening wound. I need leadership from the top.

Weird post. Swindon are hardly flying. They drew today with another team near the bottom and lost their last game to MK Dons.

Holloway has been in charge of 2 league games, won neither & conceded 5 goals. First game scored an injury time equaliser v Gillingham when down to 10 men for most of the game Second game beat Colchester in the FA Cup in AET Third game came from 1-0 to beat Spurs 2-1 in the BSM Trophy and qualify for the next round from our group Fourth game lost 3-1 to MK Dons Firth game scored a second half equaliser at Accrington to draw 2-2 So 4 out of the 5 games would have been good to watch as a fan, which is a big improvement on what proceeded it at Swindon no wonder the fan I know feels he's a breath of fresh air, so far anyway.

We’ve won just 1 of our previous 8 games and looking at our next 8 games I can’t see us winning a game. This will be the end of Taylor.

I need leadership from the top. If we're winning games would we really be worrying about the board, it only seems like we worry about them when we're having a poor spell on the pitch? If we were doing a Stockport we'd probably be saying what a brilliant job they did backing MT in the summer. whether the way they are running the club is effecting the players performances is anybody's guess but if I was paid £100K+ to work a few hours a week then I think I'd put some effort in during a game regardless.

It’s basically how it’s been for the last 30 years - which is how long I’ve been watching the Gas.
We go through seasons of absolute dross, with the occasional promotion which helps you to forget the crap we have to endure over and over again.
The way I see it, until we have a proper stadium that is fit for purpose and a real infrastructure behind the scenes, we will always be a league one/two yo-yo team. Good players will come and go but the only constant at this football club are the fans - most of which are decent people.

Exactly, I’d be relatively ok with a non relegation season if by the end of it there was creditable plans for ground improvements that were actually going to happen. Finishing 7th or 19th doesn’t really matter as no one will remember in a few yrs time.

I am always fascinated to read how a new squad should line up each August.
The expert comments amaze me and I wonder how they know so much about whether to play Robbie Saveloy in a holding or offensive role.
Never actually seen them any of them play in real life? There's YouTube.
Never even heard of them in your entire life? Wikipedia is your best friend when pretending to know what you're talking about.
This post is absolutely and categorically not aimed at those who know what they are talking about.
Just the other ones.

I think that's a good point and fair critique. But it's the amount of change with the nada comms

That might help the ones thinking no changes have happened since they arrived to understand that there has been change.

Which is perhaps OK if you have a season ticket but who's going to pay on the day to see us perform like yesterday in the second half? If we do gates will be down to 6,000 and the restless booing us off every match.
