At any point the ref wants to. Usually have a late inspection if there is doubt. I remember a Notts county away game being called off just before kick off. Had the same one year away at Oxford.

I remember one game at Leyton Orient when they took our money at 2.40pm and then announced the game was off at 2.55pm. Apparently our manager John Ward didn't want to play. The Leyton players then came out and did a training session on the pitch. We then had to queue until 6pm to get our money back at a single window. Lots didn't bother and Orient kept the money.

I was there for that game and literally paid my entrance fee 2 minutes before it was postponed! ( after being assured the game was definitely going ahead)

I couldn't be bothered to wait in the queue for a refund so applied to Orient and about 2 months later got a postal order (remember those) for, I think, £7!

Edit:- just searched it out. Dec 2001 Match was on 15 Dec 2001 abandoned after just 12 mins when goal less. A certain Darrell Clarke was playing that day for Hartlepool. The re arranged fixture 12 Feb 2002 saw Hartlepool who had been aggrieved at the abandoned game took suitable revenge winning 1 0 at the Mem. Clarke and future Rovers forward Jermaine Easter both came on as subs for Pool.

The jumbo screen isn't working, apparently the security guards have been told to pack up and go home. Could you get any more Rovers than this?!

Saw the screen on a trailer on the corner of Filton ave before the game. Obviously could not access the ground at 1400 due to the crowds around the fanzone area. Surely if the operator could not get it working, that’s down to them not the club.

Please get rid of the idiot who has no idea. Mistake after mistake Which one? You would have thought they’d have checked up front (and I mean yesterday) if they could get signal where they need to. That said Irene’s Kitchen was cash only today because there was no wifi to the payment point 🤦♂️🤦♂️. They also ran out of the festive piglets or whatever it was just as i arrived which was only about 2.15pm. I think we’re having the right ideas now but execution is wanting (cashless aside - many people called this happening)
