Another good interview. Especially that bit about Day. 😂 I'm liking things so far, already I saw a lot more fight and drive today than at any part of the rest of the season. Although the goals were good technically, I think we worked on and were capable of that in spells under Garner and Tis but just didn't have the fight or drive to go with it. GGMI, you are good at searching old posts. what were we all saying post AFC Wimbledon away? Today was brilliant (for 90mins anyway) but I think the football against AFC was the best of the season if memory serves me well? That's probably our best performance at the Mem for 90 mins probably since we sold Harrison/bought Payne, it's a total of a transformation since the Oxford match. You clearly have an agenda against JB but you're on the losing side tonight. I don't understand how certain Gashead's would sooner be negative about the manager than positive about the team/club. If you feel that way then posting after a good win seems foolish to me.

Cheers - that was a good listen. I think that JB sounds very genuine, not pumped and primed by a PR team.

Absolutely love this - you can see what the win means to all of them. I know it's very early days but Barton with his passion and the way he talks about how football should be played seems like the perfect fit for our club.Ive got such a positive feeling about this appointment.

Westbrooke's best game in a rovers shirt for me today. It’s clear he is a monster of a footballer, only now have we seen talent with a work ethic.

If you feel that way then posting after a good win seems foolish to me. Wow! How do you get to that from my post? how is it negative about the manager? I agree with you that it was a total transformation from the Oxford game. I state in my post today was brilliant? GGMI is saying today was best of the season I am just saying if memory serves me well AFC was the best football of the season and asking if my memory is correct by checking the post match posts from then as GGMI has a skill in resurrecting old posts? I did not want JB to be manager because of my perception of him as a person. It does not mean I do not want him to be successful as it will mean we are successful. I have been watching the Gas for 52 years having seen my first game in 1969. I have had a season ticket for nearly every season since and have averaged about 20 away games a season for the last 30-40 years (some seasons 100%). Posters seem watered that I am having a 'dig' at JB which is rich and hypocritical when you look at all the previous threads and digs and downright abuse about PT, BG, Starnes and Widders. You won't find a dig at any of them from me and although I cannot be certain you will probably not find a dig from me about any manager or employee since this forum started. Just trying to put into perspective and like you I am entitled to my opinion. For what it is worth I have enjoyed JB's interviews and am hoping and praying he does not let himself down while with us.

Was going to say on 90 mins we never looked like conceding, then goal machine Luke raises his arm, we stop and they pass it into the net. But never seen us press so much, we were intense, really impressed by Joseph. Now if we stay up and he signs his choices think we can really kick on. Why was it not a one when koiki was pulled to the floor looked definitely a pen to me. Thought we would get relegated but if we keep improving and play with that intensity we will stay up, UTG. Must keep super Luke mac.

Fella, just ignore it, enjoy today for what it was, a great performance, a great result, just what everyone needed. Nobody needs to justify their opinion on here, especially today. Up the Gas!!

Must keep super Luke mac. Couldn't believe that wasn't a pen, was more obvious on the replay. But then he also went blind for the trip on Rodman in the box as well so not surprised. Joey Barton as our Manager? That thug? Nah, not for me. Well, maybe a little, maybe yea ok, ok I'm sort of beginning to like the bloke, dammit if he's getting the squad to do what they did today then he's alright in my book.

i said the other day that we haven't had a good manager who organised the team well since GC left, well today we were well organised, kept our shape and worked hard to pressure the opposition (well for 92 minutes)and got a well deserved victory . But i don't understand why players wave at the linesmen trying to signal for offside and let the opposing player pass them, it's the linesman and refs job to decide if there is an offside and the defenders job to close down the attacker and defend, that incident led to their goal and could have cost us a point if our goalkeepers hadn't made two brave saves. Onto Burton they are doing well but play like today for the full game and we should be ok.

Really enjoyed that interview.JB has matured.Reckon if the crowds were allowed back in ,we'd be looking at a large attendance but after the Wigan game I wouldn't have felt the joy I feel now.JB is the anthesis of BG. The euphoria at the final whistle was very moving. Remember at Burton last year we played well but didn't score and their keeper was so pumped up at the final whistle in front of our large contingent of fans ,I would love to get a result on tuesday.

I think the sentiment at the end re Brian Williams is class... He could have easily either not mentioned it or forgot bearing in mind the interviews and questions...
Nice touch..
Warming to him
