Yep, would be better to spread them out a bit, it would wind down the clock a bit and allow time for the team to adjust to the changes Just as well we did not spread out as may have ended without a keeper. Can only make 3 sets of substitutions i understand. That’s the flip side to making so many subs at once because you can only do it three times so it saves you unfortunate events like the one at the end of this game.

For 90 minutes that was our most complete performance of the season but we should know by now you can never relax watching Rovers.
If we'd managed to throw that win away it would have been a worse kick in the teeth than Tuesdays last second loss.
They hadn't had a shot until their goal in the 92nd minute but still had time to twice come within a whisker of an equaliser.
Worryingly we seemed to get caught out twice by diagonal balls towards the right of our defence; first for the goal and again with the header across the six yard box that led to Day's injury.
Is it as simple as to say we lost our way when Rodman was replaced by Baldwin and Williams was moved to wing back? We certainly looked comfortable until that change.
Hopefully we have no injuries and if Ehmer's is fit I'd have him on the bench in pace of Rodman on Tuesday night.
Anyway, a fantastic well deserved win. Thought the starting 11 were superb. Lets hope this is a sign of things to come.

Feck me I nearly shat myself there! Typical Rovers that comfortable as you could be and then we needed the big honey monster to save us at the end, unbelievable Jeff! Well done you blue boys much needed and well deserved, good old JVS! Good performance overall though 👍🍺

Any chance to have a little dig. Tiresome from him. Not even a comment about the performance at the end, just that nonsense. Joey Barton's Blue and White Army...UTG! How was it a dig? it was just an observation? I don’t wish to jump on the bandwagon but it was a clear dig , sorry.

Another great game by the captain. When he plays well so do the team.

That was a much better organised team. Better shape, better work ethic, knew their jobs.
Total difference to a few games ago.
Westbrooke showed what we know he’s capable for. Clever passing got Shrews in all sorts of trouble many times.
Rodman - at last, we have someone further up the pitch who can head, and hold it up. Good balance against Nicholson’s pace on the other side.
Hanlan take a bow. After those 2 chances earlier you were composed when it counted the next time.
McCormick deeper than usual and him and grant were on top of everything. The whole back 4 were much more coherent too.
Like him or not, Barton has immediately had a noticeable impact on this team.

A complete performance for 92 mins and then absolute carnage, just wouldn't be Rovers without making things difficult for ourselves. Thought the whole team were excellent especially Williams who didnt put a foot wrong, whatever anyone thinks of Tisdales short reign hes looking a very good signing. Big shout for JVS that wasnt an easy situation to come into. Joey got a proper performance out of the squad today, another big game coming on Tues, hopefully that will give them a huge confidence boost.

Another good interview. Especially that bit about Day. 😂
I'm liking things so far, already I saw a lot more fight and drive today than at any part of the rest of the season. Although the goals were good technically, I think we worked on and were capable of that in spells under Garner and Tis but just didn't have the fight or drive to go with it.

GGMI, you are good at searching old posts. what were we all saying post AFC Wimbledon away? Today was brilliant (for 90mins anyway) but I think the football against AFC was the best of the season if memory serves me well?

As good a performance as seen all season, IMO better than Portsmouth, shame about post 91 mins, although if your ever going to forge a siege/team spirit mentality that last 3 minutes will go along way to seeing it come to fruition, UTG.
