I've started rewatching The Wire again after about 15 years. It just gets better and better with age. It was always a close call between The Sopranos and The Wire as to the G.O.A.T in regards to TV Series. Over time I think The Wire now edges it. Just superb in every way. This has been on my list for a very long time. Where are you watching it? I’ve just started House of Cards again, which I adore until the last season I watch all my TV shows and Movies on a Fire Stick.
The Wire is available on Sky Box Sets I believe and is still being shown on Sky Atlantic if you have Sky

Just got back from the new Avatar movie. Better than I thought it would be, but the story line was actually pretty basic.

I have been rewatching Friends and it's perfect to relax and distract myself from problems.

Of course, I watch a lot of TV, especially news. However, to keep it politics free, I started to watch Suits on Netflix. I know many of you already watched it but I never had the chance to actually finish it.

Currently im watching Top Boy - just into the last season. Good show

So I take a few dvds with me when I stay in Mallorca, just getting to the end of The West Wing, same with New Tricks, and a bundle of 2 and half men for a laugh.

I go back time and time again to The West Wing for relaxing viewing - Aaron Sorkin is a genius writer and if you've not already watched it The Newsroom should definitely be next on your list - same energy and same genius but with a very different perspective on the issues being discussed. Also I have a new gem that I stumbled over that I'm busy recommending to people - Money Heist. It's produced and filmed in Spanish and there are five seasons on Netflix dubbed into English - and once we got past the dubious dubbing in the first couple of episodes it became a must-watch show for us - a classic heist show with a lot of clever twists and interesting politics thrown into the mix

Sorkin's writing is on point. If you're into his style, you might also enjoy "Sports Night." It's a bit older and more centered on sports broadcasting, but the witty dialogues are pure Sorkin.

Another recommendation if you like movies based on true events is "Official Secrets" on Netflix.
It is based upon Katharine Gun who worked at GCHQ and leaked an email she read about installing phone bugs on 6 UN security council members who were the swing nations on voting and determining whether the UN approved the invasion of Iraq. (We know how that went). Also it highlights the lies fed to us by Blair about WMD. It's a good watch with a good cast.

I am looking forward to the sequel: "The Chancers, 2016-2022." Should be a goody.

Tried it before but could never get into it despite loving his West Wing and Newsroom work. Might give it another go, has it aged in terms of the content/context? It was 20+ years ago I guess...

Great show!
