A smash and grab 2 - 1 victory to Rovers today, heard it here first. And just like that I already have as many correct score predictions in 2021 as I did in 2020

Should have put at least one away... Whilst he hasn't had a good game why wasn't Leahy taking pen? 100% so far Leahy did miss a penalty, where as Hanlon had scored 2 out of 2 before today's. Hindsight it's a wonderful thing.

JVS having another blinder! Think when he does not cost us a goal, people say he's having a blinder. The saves he made, any league keeper would have made. Plus he punched crosses he could have caught, missed a punch all together, but luckily they missed the header and palmed a week shot into the danger area, but luckily none of their player's were following in. I was worried every time the ball went near him.

We've had plenty recently that wouldn't have, Adam Smith for one seemed to let any shot from distance in, JVS has had two decent games out of three and only his kicking really let him down last weekend. Unless Jaakola's going to be out for months then I'd stick with JVS has back up for the rest of the season.

Tbh JVS gives me the shits, yes he was sort of okay today but he’s so Dam weird in everything he does for a keeper. Not natural making saves, just looks uncomfortable. I would like to say he’s gonna get better, but........?

I agree, most important in the jan window is another striker, not a baby from the championship a lg1 experienced striker that can chip in with goals.

Entertaining but we could have easily been two down, van der star made some good saves, Nicho and messi looked sharp and Bran the man should have had a hat trick, thought Mike Baldwin and Alfie were our best defenders.
What I'm concerned about is the season could end at any time and it could be after some hard fixtures meaning we are in the bottom 4, so think will be happy to stay up this year.
We need a prolific striker there must be another Kevin Doyle in Ireland, recruitment has been decent so come on Tommy need another JCH.

The defence plays deeper when he's in goal and nobody looks confident. Every time he makes an easy save, everyone looks relieved and is patting him on the back, trying to boost his confidence. He's still young, but he looks too slow off his line, isn't confident from crosses and shots go through him. He's ok to have on the bench, but if Annsi is out for more than a few games, he will cost us too many points.

The defence played deeper every game under Garner with Annsi in goal.

Thought the near post free kick was a genuinely decent save (I know they say you shouldn't get beaten on the near post, but the kick was accurate and well-disguised).

I actually think JVS will do alright. Perhaps he’s a bit of a late bloomer but I think people were being harsh to solely blame him on the MK 2nd goal.
It’s true we do sit deeper with him but I thought he had an ok game. If you want 2 top L1 keepers then go support Sunderland as that’s never going to happen to a midtable club of any division.
In the last 3 games I’ve seen enough improvement from JVS for me to be happy with him as back up. People forget how hard it can be to be at your best when you never play, nor are ever considered.

Needed the win today.
Important that we stay well clear of the bottom four in case the season stops early and points are proportioned!
