Growing week on week and starting to look like one of the first names on the team sheet. As other have said his attitude is second to none and the way he celebrates every goal shows how much passion he has. A prime example was Daly’s first goal for us, the sheer joy and enthusiasm he shown when celebrating with him was as if it was him who scored. I would like it if we could sign him permanently but seeing as he has been around Chelsea first team squad it may be a difficult one to pull off.

After McCormick seamed to loose his place under GC, I thought we had another Colkett type situation where he too started well before fading. However, PT has brought him back in and he's looked even better. This is the type of player we need. Skillful but not afraid to get stuck in. I assume you mean BG not GC as McCormick only signed for us on 20th September last.

Brilliant interview- so grounded yet so much passion and drive to improve - Absolutely loved the fact he said he loved being a Bristol Rovers player. So much better than CC

What can I say, very very impressed with that interview.
First and foremost, he hasn't come from Chelsea thinking he's all that. He understands he's young, inexperienced and here to learn and I think that's what impresses me the most. He genuinely sounds like he wants the team to do well first. Very grounded. Definitely one to keep our eye on

Good interview and seemed genuine too as I can’t believe that using the phrase ‘it’s a funny old game’ came from Chelsea media training!

Great attitude. He is obviously enjoying his time here with PT in charge. With Daly and Oz to come back PT has some difficult decisions as to what team to put out.

Fantastic interview and could easily upstage any manager’s post match analysis. You are a credit to yourself and Bristol Rovers. Be part of this new regime that will eventually take us into the Championship
A mind blowing interview for a young lad. Well done !! UTG

Must admit that at first i could not see that Luke gave us anything that our own youngsters like Tom Mehew did not offer but he has grown on me and the more he plays and the more i see of him the more impressed i have be come. I think after a few early appearances it would have been easy to discard Luke and go with some one else but the coaches showed faith in him and that faith is beginning to pay dividends with some impressive recent performances. I think it proves that you have to give a young player the time and opportunity to adjust to first team football at this level not just give them an odd game here and there, of course this has to be balanced with the need of the manager to pick up points. In Luke's case those responsible have, to there credit, persevered with him and are now seeing him mature into a very good player and after listening to his interview i see and hear all the credentials for a future leader and captain , will that be at Rovers? i would like to think so but i very much doubt it, enjoy him whilst we can. As for the comparison with Colkett, well there is none!

Great! Doubt he’ll become perm, that’s not the point is it? He’s with us to get game time to improve. We have to give him that, help him, then we’ll get more on same basis. I’m very happy with that, just like City did with Tammy. Part of the pyramid system we are stuck with so let’s get the best out of it and make it work for us

The thing I like about Mccormick is that he has the talent that you would expect of a player on Chelsea’s books but more importantly he looks like he wants to play football for us. I love the way he celebrates every goal like a cup final.

There’s a 5 minute clip of Luke on YouTube showing his skills & being touted as the next Frank Lampard so he’s obviously highly regarded. So signing him permanently is pretty unlikely, he’s here to gain first team experience & is improving with every game . Great to hear in his interview that he is loving his time with us & hopefully he will play his part in a successful season.

Colkett was nowhere near as good as he thought he was. The type who didn’t think he needed to put a shift in, the sort who thought he was so good the others could do his running for him. The odd flick that comes off, the very occasional goal doesn’t make a player. McCormick has the skills of Colkett but 100x the attitude and work rate. No idea what Chelsea have planned for him but would love him to come here permanently - would far prefer him on a permanent deal that Oztumer if it was a case of only one being affordable. However, I suspect his next move will be to a Championship club ahead of a sizeable fee move. Yeah if he carries on the way he’s going Chelsea will either want to hold on to him or they’ll want a million +. I guess we have to just enjoy him whilst he’s here.

Anyone know what his contract situation is? id imagine if he’s still on a long deal with Chelsea they’ll try and loan him out to the championship next. If he’s out of contract in the summer, then I’d hope we pulled out all the stops to sign him, but yeah I think we’ll just have to enjoy him while we can.

Because of his age they would still demand a fee - if it can’t be agreed then set by tribunal I believe(?). I think Bosman free transfers only apply for players over 25 unless they move to another country.

I love the way he celebrates every goal like a cup final. Of all the Chelsea players we've had as far as outfield players go, so far, he seems the best, the only one who actually seems to put 100% effort each game. He would be a great signing if we can sign him next summer, whether we have a chance of that or not of that happening is anybody's guess.

He won't make Chelsea's 1st team.
You just have to look at Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Connor Gallagher etc. Who were sent to Championship clubs at 18, and at 20/21 are either playing for Chelsea or on loan at another Premier League Club.
Luke McCormick is 22 next month, yet has only played about 20 games in 2 loan spells at League 1 clubs.
I think there's every chance of signing him permanently.

I just think that at 22, the players from Chelsea's academy that are generally highly thought of are usually already playing at Championship level, either on loan or after being sold or released. I see McCormick as very much the same as Josh Grant who we signed on a free. They're from the same age group. That's why I think there's every chance of us signing him as well.
