I was pleased with the BG appointment who would not be pleased with someone that wants to bring attractive football to the fans, so I’ve backed him, but let’s not paper over the cracks today was inept, shocking, embarrassing , boring and clueless, no excuses an immediate massive improvement must happen next week and continue to the end of the season, otherwise , well we all know the outcome. Yep all of the above, if god forbid we lose to Southend next week our great communicator and esteemed leader Wael will be under a lot of pressure. It’s all very sad really, we are becoming a laughing stock on the pitch now as well as off of it.

Amazing that he’s stuck with one up front for so many matches when it’s clear it isn’t working. When things are going badly it’s textbook to go back to basics 4-4-2 , if he played JCH alongside another striker and two banks of four and go from there. Unbelievable how poor his results have been , but this was an opportunity to play two up front at home against a side in poor form and attack them. He hasn’t taken it and he’s only got himself to blame. Totally agree. Get back to what worked so well earlier in the season, with Nichols supporting JCH. Oh wait. Well we’ve got Daley, Reilly and Abraham so there are options for two up front.

What would be wrong with 4-4-2? Am I being too simplistic? We seem to have the players to make it work. Very watered off, feels like he’s where DC was, madly trying to get something to work that patently isn’t going to. Stubborn and blind to the issue

I’ve defended Ben from the start and I am now rapidly running out of patience. Today was simply awful. What worried me the most was the lack of urgency from our players and why oh why are we still playing JCH up top on his own when it’s NOT working !

Although to be fair JCH injury probably made it harder

Some on here still have been hypnotised by greta garner and his playstation ideology. Even in the post match interview he speaks total bolks.he really has a ego Out of interest what was wrong with his post match today ? Personally I thought he was honest enough to acknowledge that the performance was dreadful and didn't duck the fact that ultimately it was his responsibility. To me he understands he's under huge pressure now and for all the talk of long term projects he needs results in the short term.

The only time JCH has been prolific in his career was with Nichols, a great 12 months , so what does Garner do ? Send Nichols on loan. Then he plays JCH up front on his own game after game when it’s clearly not working and just doesn’t learn. The sign of someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing isn’t someone who makes mistakes it’s someone who continues to make the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome each time.

Said it weeks ago on here. Garner is a coach and will never be a Manager. The longer this goes on will prove I was right. Wael and Starmes have a lot to answer for with this appointment and as we already know from other matters, their silence speaks a thousand words. Garner should have been sacked immediately after the game today irrespective of what contract he is on and our owner and Mr Starmes should have the balls to front up and admit they got it wrong!

Stubborn and blind to the issue Yeah I’ve mentioned 4-4-2 a couple of times today too. Probably because over the years when we’ve had bad times / runs of form our managers have often gone back to the basics of 442. Two up front , a big man and a smaller quicker striker that we’ve got. 2 central midfielders one ball winner , one more attacking. 2 wide players , the two lads from today would do. A back four. Keep it simple . It would be better than it has been lately that I am 99% sure of.

It doesn’t look good for him at the moment but I wouldn’t write off anyone moving from coaching into management. For many it’s the only route in - I wouldn’t have minded Mourinho or Guardiola on the coaching staff before becoming our manager.

Obviously some coaches go on to be very good managers and some good managers wouldn’t and some would be good coaches. As it turns out our board have given Garner his first managerial role and it has so far turned out to be a complete and utter disaster. I think it’s probably time for our board to front up , take it on the chin admit that they got this one wrong and sack Garner. They got GC right he was brilliant but left and they got this one wrong. No shame in that.
The shame comes from the silence from our board and when they do speak the complete and utter disregard that they’ve got for the supporters. As Rovers supporters we don’t demand Premier league football in fact I think most of us don’t even demand championship football what we do demand is that whoever is running the club doesn’t blatantly take the water out of us with stupid interviews filled with derogatory bullshit.
Step up Wael in front of us tell us what your plans are , tell us that you’ve made mistakes and where they’ve been and if the clubs up for sale then tell us that too. Do that and even though it won’t change your mistakes the supporters of this club will have more patience, perhaps renew their season tickets etc.
People aren’t going to come back next season based on the football Garners churning out or on the pathetic leadership the board are churning out.
Crowds at the beginning of next season will be around the 5-6 thousand mark at this rate which is what we had in the conference for f**ks sake.

You've been on here long enough to know if I'm calling you out I can back it up by finding the exact posts and quoting them back to you. Let's not waste each other's time.
