Bloody watered off with that sh** performance but even more annoyed at my own stupidity in buying tickets for Sunderland and Ipswich before ko. Might just write off the £44 as really can’t be arsed to go to games anymore.

I asked for evidence of development. Him giving his first interview isn't a sign of development. Which is precisely why I say give him the summer to deliver it. So you're saying we shouldn't expect to be able to see one single positive after him being in charge for nearly 3 months?

Its hard to remain positive after watching that sh** show, I accept that. I was genuinely bored out of my mind watching parts today. I’m just not going to allow myself to lose long term perspective and go away from what I’ve been saying all along which is the man needs a summer transfer window and a pre season to implement what is a radically different approach to what we’ve had in recent years. All the things you say we lack right now, the bite, the creativity, the defensive attributes, they can be amended with a good transfer window let’s not forget that. Also I’d say that the majority of the players that are letting us down right now are members of the old guard that Garner inherited. ie Clarke, Upson, Leahy, Clarke-Harris. What is with all this "It's a long term plan" rubbish? What single indication is there that there is even one scintilla of development towards anything? He keeps talking about his long term plan, which is what? Go on the longest run of bad form you possibly can so the law of averages mean you have to win? It's nonsense. If I go into work and continually get the basics completely and utterly wrong I can't say to my boss "Ah but don't lose long term perspective - this is all part of a long term plan!" For once we agree LJG.

A lot of the criticism of BG is how he's stubborn and inflexible with his tactics when considering the opposition.
The same people were criticising DC for making every game a new project.

Last summer Coughlan said he was struggling to get players in and his main selling point was about how when he took over, we were a play off team.
What's Ben going to say? "Since I've come in, we're the worst team in the EFL - but it's a long term plan that I'm working on."

All spot on mate, and why are we only playing 1 up front especially at home? Toyah Wilcox - It’s a mystery. Plenty of really good teams play one up top and in theory we have three forwards but like i said cannot work out what the wide forwards are trying to do in our set up? To play one up top you need a good central midfield who can keep possession and ball carry when needed. Let's be fair our central mid cannot even make a simple 5 yard pass to each other, there is zero ball retention. The thing that puzzles me is sixteen odd games in charge and with all his coaching badges and with his mate coppell assessing from the stands they still can't figure out the bleeding obvious.

To continue my winning run of match threads, I have decided to get this started. Both teams not in great form. Shrews have only won once since their famous win against the mighty City on 14th January. They did however beat Doncaster 1-0 last Sat, before losing 3-2 at home to Tranmere in the week. Extra rest for us, so should be no excuse. GGMI prediction: Gas 2-1 Shrews Apologies all, I will be retiring from starting next week's match thread. Goodbye BG.

He may not have been the cheap option if Wael was seduced by his supposed Prem pedigree. To me he certainly carried an unacceptable degree of risk. If he has any decency about him he should recognise that he has failed miserably and should resign immediately. Ollie Clarke is his interview said that this performance should be swept under the carpet. No Ollie, No. I want to hear you come on the radio and rage at the utter disgrace that you and your team continue to produce and pledge to the Supporters that you will do your utmost to turn this around and drive us forward because Ben Garner certainly cannot deliver in any shape or form. You are the Captain, so bloody well act like one. Why is Ollie Clarke the captain? Co co the clown could do a better job. As has been done to death on many, many other threads, whoever wears an armband makes literally no difference.

He was in trouble from the moment he started talking about goals and somebody was in for a tanking soon at yesterday press conference. But don't worry, we still have him for another 2 years and 4 months, lots of unacceptable performances to look forward too and he will take the blame, no positives though like today.

It is obvious agreed. If your going to go direct then you need two up front and if your going to play through with only one up front then you need a midfield with different attributes but most importantly at least one of them HAS to be a playmaker and the defence HAVE to pass the ball to him and not hoof it to the lone forward. Garner has got it so so wrong it’s ridiculous.

I’m the same Eric, I come over from Cardiff pretty much every week but I can’t see me bothering for the rest of the season. That was Dam awful today. UTG!

The way I see it he has to go back to basics for a few games, 4-4-2 , give JCH a partner , either this or he’s gone.

I was pleased with the BG appointment who would not be pleased with someone that wants to bring attractive football to the fans, so I’ve backed him, but let’s not paper over the cracks today was inept, shocking, embarrassing , boring and clueless, no excuses an immediate massive improvement must happen next week and continue to the end of the season, otherwise , well we all know the outcome.
