And your bitterness and childishness evenly so. I hate them. But fair play to them for knocking out the biggest club in this country who had £250M worth of talent playing, and fair play to them tonight for only losing by the odd goal to the best team in this country who had Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Yaya Toure, Raheem Sterling, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Danillo, Mangala, Gundogan, Sane and Bernad Silva a total of about £500M on the pitch, in a Semi Final of a major Cup competition. The only reason I say fair play to them is because if the situations were reversed there is no way in hell that lot would be applauding us- and that is exactly as it should be. Instead of applauding they would be putting pressure on their board to level the playing field. By contrast we have pretty much lost all ambition to challenge them. If situations were reversed they’d buy our striker!

No mate, not in the league cup. Think you'll find they do count, but only after extra time. The snake charmers would have to win 1-0 in 90 minutes and keep it clean for another 30. Is that right? My mistake.

The only thing that really annoys me, as a club, we look more water pot than ever, the gap is absolutely huge. Probably bigger than at any time. Ground, team, infrastructure. Fingers crossed, maybe we'll get a new pasty stand for the start of next year🙏 I sent a message to my step dad giving him a dig in the ribs about the result and he replied, as he always does, about the gap. Hard to respond to that. We need to get our act together, more chance of Nichols finishing the season as the league's top scorer though in reality.

Not having that. You're more likely to lose 5-0 by accident than beat 4 premier league sides by accident. Losing 4 on the spin is no accident either. They are running out of steam. To be fair the only worrying one is Villa. Wolves are a great side and will do well in the prem. Watford they practically through the game due to fixture congestion and tonight was against the best team in the country.

Apparently they do count but only if the scores are level on aggregate after extra time. My mistake.

Two last minute defeats and a 5-0 - the manner of those defeats will sow some doubts in their minds. Johnson just admitted he had to gee them up in the dressing room which seems a bit odd, all things considered.

Give it time, won’t be long before they’ve got the bedsheets out on winterstoke road again fickle tossers. Johnson ought to jump ship soon as they’re out or win the cup. They didn’t want him there last season and they’ll want him out again soon enough. So glad I’m Gas, bring on Blackpool. UTG

Just saying they aren't lucky to be where they are. They have got this far because they've been playing well.

Let's not talk about the sh** again for the next week. We as fans need to make our feeling known on match days. A song mocking our current stadium or something, maybe the owners may further take on board our ground is shithole.
The Mem is a shithole I want to go home...

It's hard to say, but they almost played the perfect game, made Man City look pretty ordinary 😩

So much bitterness on this thread, mind.
Yeah, we all hate them, but i've got no problem in saying fair play to them.
Rather than being bitter, why dont we as fans strive to better ourselves, I'd love Rovers to have a 28,000 stadium, be currently in the top 6 of The Championship and in a Semi Final of a major Cup competition.
We really dont have anything to mock them with. So why do it? It's embarrassing.

In reality we've had a couple of great seasons, that gap ain't what it was. Tier five to tier three in a few years, last years 10th was higher that city's position only a few years back in 2013-14. At least them having a few more seasons in the championship before the inevitable customary relegation season gives us a bit more time to get our house in order. I mean DC's team, I have to confess I'm not optimistic on the stadium front, but stadium's don't keep you up, nor do they automatically lead to promotion, look at the stadiums currently in league one and even league two!

Perfect result , they’ll still think they’re in it and league form will continue to suffer. I hope. UTG Agreed.Would have liked a 6-0 shoeing but minds will surely now be on the return leg.Its human nature and unavoidable.FTS.

Only that Mr Lansdown has thrown his millions at the playing side to get where they are now.... If we had only half that to spend in the time he has been at the sh*t, the 'gap' might not be there answer to everything?

Just saying they aren't lucky to be where they are. They have got this far because they've been playing well. Well they have won the points that they have so that suggests they have had a good first half season, but I just don't get how they can beat Man United, run Man city close whilst looking very good and then lose 5-0 to Villa and lose to 10 man Wolves in the games that really matter.
