Fantastic achievement for the Gas, winning a penalty shootout in a group game of a tournament for reserve teams. Well done lads.

0-0 FT Penalty shootout for an extra point. Got a touch of the budweiser ads about it Come on keep all those penalties flying high & wide That's actually a really...good idea. An hour long penalty shootout would be an excellent protest and surely unpunishable.

5-3 James, Bodin, Taylor, Colkett and Montaño scored. Roos saved from Hedges. None of them count mind ;-)

[br The players probably don't give a toss either, I wouldn't want to be playing in such a sh**e competition in a near empty stadium, sooner were out the better Whatever the fans think of the competition, the players are paid to perform for Bristol Rovers FC and that is what they should do. were you at the game?

I was at the game and I thought the players tried although Maybe not as much as a league game. Their keeper played well kept them in it and all Our penalties at the end we're really well taken. How many pens have we scored in a row now ?!! ( yes tbone I know they don't count)

i dont like this crappy competition and the attendances were very poor all over the country which is good news i reckon. the game tonight was very flat and rovers were unable to raise the pace of the game enough to force a win against a poor but very hard working yeovil team. james and montano were given full games and for me failed to make the most of there chance to impress. i didnt think the team played badly with most of the team doing ok but leadbitter still struggling for confidence and colkett made many poor passes when he came on,although i thought sinclair and boateng both played well and used the ball to good effect.

It was all fairly farcical with their player getting 2 yellows and sent off after a foul on him! Then there was the brawl at the end and the penalty shoot out! Should have beaten them easy though, especially with 10 men. Quite exciting being in a group stage of a tournament though! Have we ever been in one before?

Yes,reading u23 5pts, Yeovil 4pts,us 2pts,pompey 1pt,oh so exciting Reading and Yeovil could do a deal, like Germany and Austria did in the '82 World Cup, to enable both teams to progress. All they need to do is play out a draw and for Yeovil to win on pens, and our match against Pompey will be meaningless..... Oh hang on, it is meaningless anyway!

Have we ever been in one before? yeah, the ango-italian cup, which after a 3-0 home win against Southend and a 2-2 draw at Upton park meant the final group game was played at roots hall with hammers needing to win by 3 goals or more to go through.... the match ended Southend 0 West ham 3 and rovers went out by virtue of a coin toss.... and people think it's farcical now!!!!

DC thought we needed better if we are to progress which I totally agree with. Mildenhall could do a job in league one but DC and most of us want players that can push us on to that next level. That's DC's privilege, although given Roos hasn't kept a clean sheet yet it's not clear whether he's any better or even whether be here next season, anyway my point was that DC's never letting Mildenhall have any game time, even in meaningless EFL cup or reserve games. Clean sheets or not, Roos is the better keeper. Roos made a couple of great saves on Saturday. Both of which could easily have led to goals if Mildy was in goal I believe. Also his distribution is a lot better.
