I thought that was quite positive, really, even though the game was a bit sh**e, it certainly looks like Boateng is gonna be an excellent signing, and McCauley Culkin looked pretty neat and clever, even though he's only 12. I agree that there were some positive individual performances, Taylor, Stu , Boateng stood out but as a team we looked all over the place and very frail defensively in the strange formation we played in. It wasn't a diamond it wasn't 3-5-2 I don't know that it was and I don't think the players knew either. 2 points dropped, if we'd gone with a basic 4-4-2 we would have won that, they were worse than Oxford but we made them look better.

I agree the team were all over the place and Dales goals both came down our left with Brownwer in no mans land. I don't think he likes being a wing back. The one thing I dislike it that DC is so bloody stubborn. It was obvious that the formation wasn't working after their first goal, did he change it? That's a big NO. Dale played quite narrow too and I think Monty and Browner would have had a field day but of course Monty is in the stand. And as for playing Easter up front on his own what was he thinking.
At home we should play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 if we are behind. If we continue to play like we did today we will struggle.

At half time he said "That's 48 minutes of my life I'll never get back. If it was a horse they'd have shot it". Then at full time he said "This is me Nick Day saying Good Bye". I've often wondered why he's the only person in the ground that can actually smell Gas at 2.55pm every other Saturday...strange bloke imo

That said, he may not want to do it any more as has chosen to step down. Even more likely is that as normal none of us know anything and he will be there again next week.

To be honest I've always thought he's a crap frontman and lacks charisma. He also dresses terribly and looks more like someone you'd see trying to sell raffle tickets at a fun fair or something. Maybe it's time he did move on.

After a shocking first half I thought ND just said what we were all thinking? But who cares anyway what he said as surely it's the least of our worries after today's game.

I think he does a great job for the record much better than anything I've seen at away games. I just thought it sounded a bit final from him.

Back to the match - SS may have got MOM, but Boateng was the best player on the park for my money.
Also Colkett looks class. Played a ridiculously good ball to Sinclair (I think) which should have led to a goal.

Story of all three August/September's under DC.....thank god he's good from October to May.....

Boeteng superb.Bodin poor.Easter never had a shot.Liked the Chelsea babs. The Beard crashed into the hoardings at one point and looked like he'd have to be stretchered off but just got up and carried on. Browner lined up for second half alongside our forwards wheras all their attacks came down our left where we were all at sea.Crowd quiet. No width. Not a great display. We only have MT up front.Ellis all gangly and off-side constantly.Lacks control when it matters. Our throw -ins were messy to-day and please let's have a variety on corners.CL takes em all and we only have short asses in the box so need more imagination.

Sincs did have a good game, and in typical style was at times the last defender and at others charging through on their keeper. I just thought Boateng was a class above - and he's not even match fit yet!

I suspect DCs analysis was similar to that which is why he didn't come out to do the post match interview....

Heard the welders are at the Mem to weld together the hoardings SS crashed into.

MS looked demented in the post-match interview. If you'd watched the interview with the sound off it looked like we'd lost 5-0. Words coming out his mouth were surprisingly positive given his body language and facials. Something funny going on - Nick Day PA might be the least of it!

Wasn't my MOTM either but he saved our defenders blushes several times today and still found time to get forward.
