Expected to beat Oxford.
Expected to draw today.
Seasons panning out how I'd imagined and I think with the squad we have we'll finish mid table. Few signings could push us on though...

Anyone who thinks we're in a relegation scrap because we drew 1-1 away to Southend 4 games into the season needs a reality check, and should be banned IMO.

He has summed us up pretty accurately. We need 3 quality players fast to avoid a relegation battle. Shouldn't be a problem with a billionaire owner though. Which one of the two teams scored from open play? Wasn't it a corner we scored from, so from a dead ball move, not really creating a chance from open play? |

The penalty was very harsh but that was an awful game of football that wouldn't have looked out of place back in the Vanarama.
To me we looked slow and short of ideas going forward, they looked slightly worse and were there for the taking really. Definitely 2 points dropped.

That's often what away games are like mind, I can think of quite a few under DC where we've just snatched the points playing poorly (Grimsby, Southport, Yeovil, Luton come to mind) Unfortunately the ref denied us that sort of win today with a fairly awful decision. |

Northampton were by far the best team in Div 2 last season, Bolton could well be the best in Div 1 this season, but neither of those sides played attractive attacking football at the Mem. The days of teams playing that type of football away from home seem to be a thing of the past. |

I think the wingback system is definitely effective. It's probably no coincidence that both teams look poor when we play it. |
