I'd normally have some sympathy with what you are saying but..... Jon and is someone I would consider a friend and I know that he is not one to talk bullshit and even less likely to post it on here. He cares very deeply for Rovers and is a passionate and loyal man. He has posted what he has in good faith in the belief that it's true. He has been consistent in his information (aside from getting us all excited last week). I also know that Jon would have gone to great lengths to check out what he has been told. He is not the gullible sort so he will have verified what he could before passing on information. It is possible that he has been played or lied to. That was one of the first things I said to him when this broke. He has repeatedly said if this proves to be the case he will happily hang the liar out to dry. I realize that on the face of it this all seems like total bollocks and while part of me thinks exactly like you I know there is no way Jon would make this up. Tbf I quoted gasincider, I have NEVER said anything derogatory about jts, never. I don't think I have ever quoted him on this thread. All I have said RE:jts is that its bullshit what he's been told. Gasincider keeps telling us we will hear something "anyday now" over 4 months now. Lol, I called bullshit on him when I first heard it!!  |

I ain't going over 4 months worth of threads now, but you have said on numerous occasions we will hear something "anyday now" Don't reckon I've ever said that we'd hear something any day now. Still, let's have a little wager. If we estimate the word numerous it could be anything from half a dozen to a hundred or more. How about a fiver per 'hear something' payable to JTS's sponsors group. You said numerous so I'm happy to go for it. Every time I've said it to let's say 20 I'll pay a fiver to JTS. Every one it's less than twenty you pay him a fiver. Sure JTS will be delighted and we are positively helping the club. Ready steady.............go. |

I just want to know the details of the offer, either now or after the defeat at the Court of Appeal.
Establishing that there really is a Consortium would be fine. But would they offer and what would they control?
Would they fund and own the stadium and if so would it be "our" stadium or theirs?
Would they own the club or just invest in it?
Would the stadium be owned by a different company to the one controlling the club?
Would they want a return on their investment to come from the club? If so, and if we have no money, what happens then?
Would they clear the debts by paying off the loan and NH? Why would they do that? And what will NH do if they won't?

Everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end, even, say, a nuclear explosion, albeit the time between the stages of the latter is nanoseconds: Some of us are waiting for the end of the day, i.e., when the deal is made. Some are still awaiting the dawn, i.e., proof that such a deal/offer even exists. Whereas you, I believe will be saying, "Where did that come from?" By the way, for what it is worth, I do not recall Gasincider EVER stating that something will happen any day now. |

As I understand it, they would own both the stadium after having built it, and the football club. I presume they would want a return on their investment, so if we had no money they would get no return. That is why they would want us to move up the leagues quickly. That would mean investing in the team which I understand they would do. They would clear the debts including NH's otherwise he wouldn't let them buy the club would he. That would mean they would then own the Mem. They would then presumably redevelop the site after we had moved out. We all want to know what's on offer, that is the whole point. We just have to wait. We' ll know any day now. Only joking, we will be told as and when the parties to negotiations are good and ready. This of course is a personal assessment. |

Do you really think they've been locked in a room talking for 120 days? If we accept they spoke to NH back in Aug/Sept, he might have said come back after the court case. That would equate to about 150 days. They are still here, but honest, they haven't been talking for 150 days either. In the course of a takeover many different issues arise which can take months to resolve. You can bet it's the same with this one. |

I do not know the exact date that talks started, but 120 days ago could be about correct. Clearly they must still be ongoing because if that is not the case then:-
1 - They have never taken place - I know that they have. 2 - The Consortium has pulled out - I gather they are still talking and if this was not the case it would be all over the local media. 3 - NH has pulled the plug - If that was the case I could guarantee that this info would be all over the local media.
I am as frustrated as everyone else, but like buying a house, problems crop up and you either give up or try to work around any problem.

The share price with £30m in the bank for uwe would be very different to the share price with massive debt and no uwe. Not all talks lead to deals but i agree it would have leaked out if it had been turned down. |

It seems strange to me that certain posters put a different angle to that posted by JTS or others. The bottom line is that the Consortium is still here, and will make their move when the case is resolved. NH will not do anything until then so it is pointless twisting messages from posters. As I understand it, the consortium has no intention of walking away, and when they deem the time is right, everything will be made public. The timescales for that are down to them and no one else. So query what JTS or me or anyone else says, but it will only be speculation until either the consortium or NH or both decide when to go public. You have been telling us that we will hear something "anyday now" for over 4 months. So now your telling us you were wrong all along? Who would have thought it..? I for one said from the start it was bullshit. Now, after next week has come and gone you will keep coming out with different stories until one day in years to come when someone eventually takes over the club you will say, told you! It may well be "bullshit" as you call it but its the future of OUR club so its good to read... The simple thing is put your head in a sandbox and pull it out when the news breaks whatever happens |

I and several others would be all over this with details that cannot be published at the moment.
I feel pretty sure the Consortium may wish to make a comment if the talks were called off by BRFC or BRFC accepted a far inferior deal.
