So finally saved up and bought a crossmember for my van, haven't got a compressor so bought some coach paint, spent 2 days primering and flatting the part, spent 3 days undercoating and flatting the part, was as smooth as a freshly blowtorched pubic mound, so today set about laying on the first of many colour coats, started painting it looked a bit blue, took part outside and confirmed it was white, came in and finished painting the panel, cleaned up brushes etc in kitchen, walked back to the panel , couldnt believe my eye the previously smooth panel now resembled, an outbreak of scabies on a bell end ,with a touch of leprosy and acne, was absolutely devastated the paint had reacted and softened , its going to take a few days to clean the panel of paint, stupidly misread the lables, yup put colour coat on the primer ,not a problem, the put the undercoat ontop of the top coat, talk about stupid, £20 worth of paint screwed up.
