I know I started this thread so it's probably bad form to ask something like this, but I need help... Somehow I agreed to go to Somersault festival in a couple of weekends time.... I assume I was drunk when I agreed. The problem I've got is when I agreed, in my head I heard 'festival'...but I love dance music, enjoy rock, and will watch anyone doing anything else but only if they're really good...so anyway, I've just seen the lineup (below) and honestly apart from Norman Jay and DJ Yoda I'm looking at the list and going "errrmmmmmm" and so need some recommendations... As mentioned above, I'll watch any kind of music if it's done well, can anyone recommend anyone on the bill that I shouldn't miss?

Blimey, that could possibly go into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest gathering of tree huggers........in the world !
and I would avoid going anywhere near the Lost Boys Hideaway in my speedos.

I've heard Bombay Bicycle Club and liked them.
Never heard of a single other act on that line up.

Oh and say hello to Ms Radice if you see her. Looks like the sort of place she'd go.
If I were you I'd just back out now. Looks like a fecking awful place to go.

I've heard Bombay Bicycle Club and liked them. Never heard of a single other act on that line up. Jimmy Cliff (wonderful world, beautiful people....) is a cool dude. Hang on.....it's says it costs FROM 125 quid, but you get a free Boyfriend for the weekend. What's that all about? (top right of the advert)

I am quite surprised Jimmy Cliff is appearing with some of these acts. Surely should be top of the bill

Jimmy Cliff is a class act. My favourite reggae artist ever. You Can Get It If You Really Want, The Harder They Come, Wonderful World Beautiful People, Many Rivers To Cross. He was a smash at Glastonbury in 2011.
In fact just the the right thread for him. Far, far better than Bob Marley. In my opinion.

And to the rest of you, if I see any members of TrasHorfield/The Green Party I will spend most of my spare time annoying them...mostly because I hate them, but partly as there will be nothing better to do...

Badfinger were vastly underrated in my opinion.
World Party.
And my best mate has never got the recognition or breakthrough that I feel he deserves. His name is Darryl Dybka. If you like jazz, he plays what I would term lounge jazz. His main claim to fame is writing and producing for country music legend Chet Atkins, although his first big music job was playing a few of the gigs on Frank Zappa's Zoot Alors tour, in the 70s.
Here is a link to a YouTube clip of one of his tunes.

I missed Bombay Bicycle Club, because the organisation (and the weather) meant if you were anywhere else 20 minutes before they started you had no chance of getting there...Jimmy Cliff was a truly awesome showman. I was at the front by myself but didn't care, just wish they'd given him a longer timeslot (6 songs is ridiculous).... I am quite surprised Jimmy Cliff is appearing with some of these acts. Surely should be top of the bill Should have been... I was a bit nervous as his crew spent a lot of time soundchecking....but it was worth the wait even in the rain, and I thank you all for the advice. In other news, DJ Yoda rocked the party stage on Saturday night and Norman Jay was an arse as (according to security) he turned up, looked at the venue and left without playing....and I know as I stood in the rain for two hours waiting for his *headline set*...security said the organisers begged him to stay, but he left. Was really looking forward to a set as he's a legend, but if I find out that reason was true he's dead to me. In other news, Passenger was great (never thought one bloke with one guitar could hold so much attention for so long). Crystal Fighters and Angus and Julia Stone, The Staves and Imelda May can all bang out a tune. Didn't spot any Green Party members. Lots of hippies though....
