Unbeaten in the last 17 League games
Lost once in 27 League Games (on Oct 18th)
Lost two in 31 League Games (the other Sep 6th)
I think we will only lose one more if we continue that impressive form this season.
We all know that we have drawn too much, but we have Easter and Sinclair to come back.
Can we get the probable 95 points needed to win this league?
64 points so far, 12 games to go.
7 Home matches W7 D0 L0 5 Away matches W3 D1 L1
= 95 points.
Can we do it?

I don't think we'll lose again Post like this make me both excited and nervous! Grimsby was the only game I thought we had a chance of losing, don't think anyone can beat us, can still see a couple of cheap draws being given away but I just don't think we'll lose

The evil gremlins from The Land Of Tempting Fate are circling over this thread. And they're cackling, in a nasty cackly way.

The evil gremlins from The Land Of Tempting Fate are circling over this thread. And they're cackling, in a nasty cackly way. Let them circle I say. The cacklers have always cackled in a nasty way. Ignore them, they will not have the last laugh. At some point confidence in what we are doing has to be shown and enjoyed. Time to be winners! We have already missed a few windows of opportunity, but once again that window has opened for us again, but this time it was Rovers who opened it with a great win in arguably the toughest fixture (bar Macclesfield away) that remains at now the business end of the season. At some point, we are going to go through that window of opportunity. It's time to ratchet up the pressure. Barnet will have to win next Saturday to keep us off the top of the table as soon as a week next Tuesday (after Braintree).

Make two of those home wins draws for 91 points and the title.

If gateshead play as well as they can that will be tough. By far the best team I've seen this season at the mem. Well first half anyway

If gateshead play as well as they can that will be tough. By far the best team I've seen this season at the mem. Well first half anyway They played well when we let them, but as soon as Clarke came on for Balanta and tightened up the midfield, allowing The Mighty Beard to move forwardwe were all over them. If he hadn't been for Clarke's error for the second we were all over them after that. If anyone puts them under pressure they will roll over, as proved by their league position.

I just prefer to take it one game at a time, rather than predict we might not lose again this season. Because I think we will lose more than once before the season ends. I did say on the Groundbreaking thread yesterday that I think we will finish top, but I had taken imbibement and therefore was not responsible for my comments. I still think today we can do it, but it'll be a slow battle to overhaul them. IF we continue our current form, with The Beard returning to the fray, and IF they continue their not-bad but inconsistent form of late.
I predict we will overtake them 8 games from now, leaving 4 more nervous matches to park the bus and sneak in as champions.
Who knows.

Everyones opinions are different i know but i thought Gateshead were very ordinary when we closed their space down. The best two teams that have played at the mem this season were Wrexham and Halifax.Probably Kiddy were a close third.

One game at a time - project now is to beat an improving Altringham.
Proud of the way the lads are doing this . Team effort in front of individual success. Receipe for a good future.

I'm loving the positivity and I don't want to spoil that but equally we shouldn't get complacent. The next two games are against teams we have already lost to this season and they have both won more games than us recently (4 of 6, compared to our 3). I still think we will win both but we need to play our part by turning up in numbers and singing our hearts out. UTG!

Gateshead Halifax Macclesfield Kidderminster Dover
5 very tough away games in my opinion. My feeling is that there could easily be two defeats lurking in there.
Home games are going to be crucial as well as barnets current miniature slide continuing

Had a quick look at Barnet & Maccs remaining fixtures - some tricky games for both if them. It's going to be close, the one who holds his form & I still think it could be around 90 points to win the League. COYB

I think if we beat Macclesfield in March, the title is ours to lose. We mustn't be complacent about "lesser" games, though. Every match is a must-win.

I think we might have to beat Macclesfield to have any chance. Unfortunately I think our stuffing them at The Mem was probably a one off bad day at the office for them
