Aaand relax. Great result, enjoy your weekend everyone, catch you for the draw tomorrow night. Up the Gas!!!!! So if you were at the match ? at the end of 90 minutes the crowd were shouting "this is embarrassing" and "Taylor out"; which I guess you would like to ignore, nothing to see here, hahaha, the facts, Weston played very well, and could of won the game in normal time, that said, their legs went during extra time, and the Gas ran out winners. Stick your head back in the sand if you like, however the majority of Gas who attended the match today, want to see and deserve to see better. UTG

Really not sure what to make of that, we deserved to win & probably should have had it done in 90 mins but equally could easily have lost it in added time. I want to believe that things are coming together & in patches when we moved the ball quickly we looked half decent, but then we had a 20 min spell in the 2nd half where we reverted to so many other games where we just couldn't string 2 passes together & got penned in. It threatened to turn ugly & had Weston nicked a 2nd goal I think it would have got toxic very quickly. It still feels very much as thought Taylor is 1 poor result from the end which in fairness to him & the players can't be an easy situation.

Conteh, sitoriou and Lyndsey jogging about like it’s a pre season friendly. Conteh and Lindsay look like this because the manager instructs them to sit in front of the defence and not break the lines. As for everyone hammering Sitoriou, I can’t hammer any striker with this service and set up. I hold my hopes on Rickie Lambert, Collins etc starting slow and Evans. The lad got goals in Div1 last season, it’s another player, playing for a manager who hasn’t improved anyone I think as a minimum any professional footballer at L1 level should be able to control the ball & display decent technique & positional sense & Sotiriou has shown none of that so far. Martin throwing his head back time after time because Ruel makes the incorrect run & movement every single time. You cannot pin that on Taylor, however much you want to.

To many over complicated people in this thread. Brfc are not a big club and won't ever be one. Accept it and accept the ups and downs of being a gas head it's reality. Utg Relativity..to weston we are. It doesn’t work like that in reality though does it? Sure if it was a training exercise then our lot win 99 times out of 100 but match day is different. There are so many variables. Northampton are currently level at home against a team from a lower level than Weston.

I also heard plenty of fans around me telling them till shut the F up (including me). I wonder if you were one of those small pockets trying to sing that rubbish?

I’m sorry but if a player is constantly making the wrong runs and movement then you absolutely can pin that on the coaching he is receiving….or lack of it

I think that was towards a guy in box 1 who must have done something when we scored our second as he got a lot of grief.

Why are those Barton muppets continuing to undermine Taylor who is trying his best to improve the standards
Admit some of the signings are beginning to look embarrassing and not league one standard

Orient fans more than happy he left them, stating he’s an headless chicken who throws his toys out the pram. And you also absolutely cannot possibly defend his lack of effort. He’s extremely poor & it’s a shame Gatlin O’Donkor is out as he’d be a far superior option for us.

Sotiriou reminds me a bit of Giuliano Grazioli.

Delighted with the win, how often are we the team being upset in these fixtures? Many predicted we’d lose this and we were worthy winners in the end.
Weston are a good team, you can see why they’re doing so well. Play like that and they’ll do well in non-league conference too.
Makes me laugh though, every time we win it’s paper over the cracks and when we lose, the world will end. I thought as a cup tie today, that was some of the most entertaining football you’ll see this season at any level.
I feel like some won’t be happy on here unless we’re winning every game 5-0 and are top of the league.
Onto Lincoln, that’ll be a real test to see if this team is improving at all.

We were pretty poor at Wembley v Grimsby but we won and in a cup match it’s all about the result and we won and go into the second round. Well done all involved. I can remember going to Hayes in ‘71 expecting to win 10-0 and getting a lesson about giant killing so we avoided the banana skin and won. We move on.
UTG!

Agree about effort but you absolutely can coach movement and runs. It’s daft to think you can’t. You can coach it, but a striker has to have instinct for that & he doesn’t & it’s plain to see. He could work with Pep 121 for a season & he’d be incapable of putting it into practice. I’d liken him to what Joey felt with Trevor Clarke. Unable to carry out basic instructions & allied to that, doesn’t the natural ability or instinct either.
