Omochere,Sotiriou,O’Donkor and now Shaq - all these players have pace and you can clearly see Matt Taylor is trying to set us up as a counterattacking team.Just got to juggle the midfield to get them the ball now!!

The goals he scored last season look great. I think of the 9- 8 are from open play. Appears to have a real knack on how to attack in transition, which is maybe what we've missed in the first 3 games.
Both signings look decent. A good deadline day.

"Feed the shaq and he will score" Looks a great signing we re going away from seasoned journeymen, to hungry young players to develop and sell on, decent squad being assembled. Completely agree. We just have to stop having our pants pulled down when selling and we will become sustainable at the correct end of this league.

It is good to know Rovers now have a couple of additional forwards, which is a very positive sign. I am sure once the players get used to each other and gel, the goals will start to come! At least Rovers now appear to be a lot more organised on the recruitment side. I really hope Matt Taylor is successful at the club and will give us fans’ plenty to cheer about!

Could turn out to be our best signing, certainly highly regarded at Orient. We now have balanced forward line which is part of a balanced team. All the best Shaq , look forward to seeing you on the attack.

I’m yet to hear a solution to the “Having our pants pulled down” problem. If another club is only willing to pay £X and our player is running his contract down and wants to leave how do we force another club to pay hundreds of thousands more?

Spoke with George Friend in the Mem Car Park and he said what a frantic rush it was last night to get the deal done.
Said the owners were fantastic in their support to get it over the line.
Great to hear …

Like him or loathe him you do what Darragh Macanthony does and hype the player up on social media, and actually have a set of bollocks to turn offers down so they come back with a bigger bid. Look how much he got for Siriki Dembélé in the last year of his contract. I can only remember DC doing that with the snake (Quoting 10M), and that only fell flat as he had a release clause

Looks like we have finally got ourselves a fox in the box looking at that video. Can also score from outside - what’s not to like. Is this our new gas legend

Any rumours of the fee involved. Saw an O's fan mention £600k but I cant imagine we paid that

As long as fans are happy to lose some, it's a good approach.

They accepted a similar offer from Charlton but still didn't bank the money, although they've probably banked around £10m in the past year.

The issue is more that we have some belters in the fan base who would say this is the right approach but would complain if we let a player run down their contract like JCH did.

I don’t believe our current or former owner just takes the first offer on the table but if they believe a buyer has reached their maximum offer what does turning them down achieve when a player wants to leave and his value will drop with every passing week and month? We always forget that we benefit from free transfers or relatively low fees when players join us as their contracts are running down. Peterborough are always the only example put forward but I’m sure they’ve come off worst in transfer deals too.
