If you actually read my post correctly I didn't actually specify the Gas home game against Northampton I said CERTAIN matches meaning a broader spectrum Given that you did post it on the Rovers section of the forum I assume most of us thought you meant Rovers games. Not sure most of us really care about other clubs games being called off. To be fair I didn't know where to post it.

Why should a cancellation even be considered. Why should we give way to a bunch of yobs whose only aim is inflict damage to property, the police and anyone who gets in their misguided and disgusting way of life. These animals get what they deserve - nothing. Not everyone who participates in demonstrations is violent thug they have every right to demonstrate at the appalling state of this country on so many levels ! 💙 I thought all the demos were against the large number of migrants entering the UK, not about the appalling state of the country generally?

Given the current situation and the tension that's currently surrounding the country will certain matches be called off. Lots of protests planned for the weekend football hooligans and protests not a good combo No it will be on. Rovers v Northampton wont be policed as not a category a match. Would be in danger if it was Brum this weekend or Exeter , matches that require policing.

It's anarchy now and the Police backed by the government need to take decisive action. They need to identify the thugs and fast track sentencing and charge them with very long sentencing. Of course people should be able to demonstrate in a free country . However this is arson looting robbery violent disorder . And Starmer needs to stop being a whimp and sign off full police powers . We need national security back . Otherwise our economy will nose-dive : tourist industry will have to write off millions in income and our country will fall into a state of anarchy. What ever is your political view ( all respected) . We can't have this disorder one more day and order need to restored !.

But what is NOT acceptable is to throw lumps of concrete : large pieces of wood along with burning down buildings: looting shops and smashing up cars. And if the majority are peaceful. Why aren't they stopping ' the mob' from doing anarchists actions ? . And the same goes for any counter protest which incites violence or hatred. Enough is enough now on all sides !.

Think maybe this needs to be moved to General Chat before it all gets too political. 👍🏾

The bit I don't understand is that the majority of the thugs, see themselves as patriots. That see remembrance day as a time to reflect on how we defeated Nazi Germany and to give our thanks to the brave who fought and lost their lives fighting for a cause against a regime that included the segregation and genocide of the Jewish people. Yet at the same time, they are trying to burn down hotels with innocent people inside. Mothers, Fathers and Children inside those hotels. They are one step away from calling for people from a certain religion to be rounded up and sent to camps. I just don't understand how they are not putting two and two together and realising that this the same behaviour that Nazi Germany whipped up.

It's all ok, Topper said they aren't marching. 🤦♂️ Staying in one place is ok though? And yes, I've seen emails from the Chief Inspector - 200 police including mounted and dog teams will be in the Old Market area this evening. All police will be wearing 'Code 2' dress, you may know it as 'riot gear'. Also why a number of my friends local businesses in Old Market have been recommended by the Police to close this evening. I also drove through Old Market this morning, the number of boarded up windows of businesses was really quite depressing. www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/far-right-protest-update-police-9464889

But rioting undermining social order and attacking emergency service workers is an act of anarchy . If they do it again. They need to be identified : fast tracked and sentenced . Today a man was given 3 years for punching an emergency service worker . All have been remained in custody. They need to be aware any further acts of anarchy will result in long custodial sentencing. Otherwise the anarchist will overthrow the government. Then we will have a new Government and then the opposition will do the same ( left or right ). We can't allow this!. Shame to anyone who supports anarchist action along with Arson Looting and attacking emergency service workers!.

My wife is in the Police force, she informs me all leave has been cancelled, so the Police should be near full strength and there should be no need to cancel a low category game, where most of the protection will be supplied by stewards not Constabulary police .

The point is these people feel they are not being listened to and they are upset about how they feel the police treat groups differently. To be fair to them nobody was ever asked if they agree with millions joining the country each year. That’s what GE are supposed to be for, but none of them achieved anything. So these people now feel that they need to stop legal protests and take to the street instead to voice anger. They’ve tried peacefully protesting and voting and such and it doesn’t achieve anything. Attacking people and burning down buildings is nuts though and I not help their cause in any way.

Literally turned my stomach to see that repulsive bloke, I believe he is from Stoke, so obviously travelled to get involved. The protests have now escaleted into hunting certain groups down, which is apalling. We are supposed to be a civilised nation ffs. Must say, that watching things unfold online on Tuesday evening, the police in Birmingham did nothing to dispell the accusation of two-tier policing. Which then gets people even more riled up - why can't Stamer see this? Stay safe everybody.

Attacking people and burning down buildings is nuts though and I not help their cause in any way. The danager with that approach is that you are taking the law into your own hands. I come from the inner city in high rise living. I don't like social deprivation : social inequality and the gap between the rich and poor. It don't justify me along with other anarchist undermining the democratic set up because I don't like elitism or capitalism. It be far better if a group was formed peacefully which represents their views ( protesters). I agree there should be NO censorship and people should be allowed to say what they want. But we live in a democracy and we are free to vote. In defence of Labour they are trying to lower the age to 16. If a group get's elected which represents the views of the protestors then that's democracy. Similarly I wouldn't support a left wing group who wanted to undermine social order. Until another model is found . We have a democratic process every 5 years and everyone is free to vote ( unless stated ).
