Odd as it sounds but results with Sinclair are not better than when he's missing, I'm not sure what SteveK's seen in Balanta to suggest he can play CM as he looks lightweight to me for that role where you need to be able to tackle as well as pass? if Wakefield's not going to start then Monkhouse seems a better option, at least at home to Lockyer, we can then use Balanta and Dawson on the wings, with Balanta also able to play in the hole should 4-4-2 not work. PS I only put Puddy in the team to see if posters were paying attention I can't see Mildenhall not starting on Saturday. This doesn't include substitute appearances. Matches with Sinclair As a %: W 50 D 38 L 13 Matches without Sinclair As a %: W 33 D 44 L 22 I'd like to see our win rate with Sinclair and Mansell as a CM Partnership. Bet that would be higher than 50%.

Probably not the best idea dropping an in-form Taylor. Resting Matty T. Didn't do him any harm earlier in the season. Besides, I want other players to step up to the plate. Play Ellis & Angie in Attack and see if they got what it takes. Not a combination I can see working. One has a footballing brain and the other doesn't I'm afraid.

Interesting, didn't realise that.

Wouldn't want him dropped, but I hope he does not have to play midfield again. I know we have got a very good defender in young Tom, and in the not to distant future he will play in his best position centreback

It took you long enough to work that out, I thought the first response on this thread would say that when I suggested starting with Puddy, Leadbitter, Wakefield, Dawson & Harrison!!

I'm just pleased we've got a home game to look forward to at last - Torquay seemed a long-long time ago.
FWIW
Mildenhall Brown McCrystal Parkes Lockyer Gosling Mansell Monkhouse Dawson Taylor Blissett
Subs: Puddy Leadbitter (rather than Trotman as we need full back cover - although I'd be happy with Trotman starting) Wakefield Balanta Harrison

Would love to see Dawson un-leashed for 90 minutes.

If one of the CB get injured then Lockyer can slide in alongside the other with Leadbitter coming on at RB.

Is Beardo deffo out then? I believe so. Out for another 2 weeks or so with a hairline fracture of his foot (instep).

If one of the CB get injured then Lockyer can slide in alongside the other with Leadbitter coming on at RB. Tempting fate now I know but what's the chances of Lockyer getting injured? If he did I assume one of the CB's could go RB. If not Gosling would have to help out. Just feel Trotman for CB cover is far more important than worrying about RB cover. Although I can see Leadbitter & Lockyer both starting anyway unless DC gets brave and starts Wakefield.

That's surely SteveK's suggested team? Given Balanta recent performances at the Mem, Gateshead & Bath, what do either of you see in him to start him in central midfield? I'd sooner we stuck with Lockyer than get overrun in the middle because Balanta can't tackle.
