I think this weeks blog is a bit unfair. Some weeks they are good, and some weeks they are poor.......a bit like Rovers really.

But, if you heard the interview, he didn't "blame everyone else". He didn't even blame the pitch, because he said our own training pitch was disgusting and we should be used to it: "So what - we have to get on with it."
In the end, whatever a manager says after a bad performance does little good, but hearing him, rather than just reading it, he sounded as genuinely angry as I've ever heard a manager. I don't think he's just spinning us a line.

Would we have lost if the individual mistakes were not made? No.
Is this the first time DC has had a go at his players in the press after defending them all season? Yes.
The fact is every manager has a go at their players at certain times. Clarke doing this may motivate them in a positive way.

It was suggested a while ago that Nick R needed a rest from doing these. I wonder if anyone feels the same now?

What amused me, (not mentioned in the article, really) was that after all the other disappointing results he was quick to aim advice at the fans, to be more patient, and to understand that you can't always win, and to look at our unbeaten run. Then after the Dartford game, he ranted about it, was clearly upset we didn't win, and specifically dissed the unbeaten run.

But as someone who has to hack out word count commercially, I can totally sympathise with writing to a deadline, especially when what you're writing about doesn't change too much from week to week.

That is true (and funny if you like black humour), but in truth the value of an unbeaten run changes with the proportion of draws to wins, of course. Perhaps it was a good unbeaten run, and perhaps now it's not so good.

To be honest, I could do with a rest, spiess1. Luckily I had a 90 minute snooze at Dartford!

Why prefer silence if we're going to log on? Publish and be damned! All any of us do is post what we think. Nick has never stated he is always right, just puts an opinion out there. In my mind when I read Bucco or MM's columns I imagine one final word at the end...."Discuss".

I think it just has got to the point that drawing has happened to many times for his liking now and the manner in the way we threw away the points just tipped him over the edge. The time distance between our last win despite only being 2 games before might have played a part psychologically as well.

Part of the issue for me is that when printed, it's *appears* Nick speaks on our behalf and, at times, I worry they do more harm than good.
That's not to say he has no right to write them... I just wonder if they might do more harm than good at times (well, the majority of the time if I'm honest).

"I'm expecting the Darrell lovers to have a go at this,"
The most defensive opening line of any thread on here for many a year.
I didnt get past this comment I am afraid and it completely put me off reading the blog
