Seeing as we have our first home game since January 1st, five weeks ago, i hope the club is making sure that our beloved nice pitch is being protected from the freezing nights we are enduring. The last thing we want after waiting so long to see our team play at home, is to have the game posponed due to a frozen pitch! Are the covers on Mr. Holtby???

Protect the pitch? Will we have troops lining the perimeter? Would a minefield around the edge be ok? We'll need a few choppers to stop any drones as well.

I have just communicated with Bristol Rovers Football Club staff and put forward a sensible idea to the club's officials regarding the playing surface for Saturday afternoon's fixture. If the top twenty posters on this forum turn up around 11.30 and spread themselves around the perimeter of the field of play and discuss the transfer window, loan signings et al there should be ample hot air to thaw even the bleedin' hardest of frost covered fields.
Must dash, meeting an old friend regarding a substantial investment.

It looked in superb condition this dinner time. Don't know if they are covering it any time soon, because if you cover it for too long it will kill the grass.

As anybody checked the weather forecast, if so, why do we need to cover the pitch when no bad weather is forecast at present?
