Anyone seen any talent in this guy? Lots of talk that this was a signing imposed on DC at a time where the board were getting it in the neck somewhat. Doesnt seem like a DC signing to me, unfit and out of form. Not sure why he started ahead of Dawson who i really rate.

How do you get to really rate Dawson?

My point is we have only seen him play for us for 15mins on a boggy pitch where he had little opportunity for us "really rate him"

I Haven't seen Dawson so can't comment. What I have seen of Balanta has not been impressive but he looks skillfull. Was carrrying an injury last time I saw him so hopefully will be an asset

Balanta sees players and passes the ball quickly and is very skilful. He needs players on the same wavelength who can pass quickly and accurately to his feet not your Lockyers and McCrystal who very rarely find our players. I actually thought on a pitch that definitely did not suit good players he did pretty well and created some good moves. He should have done better with the chance in the last minute but I would like to see DC put some faith in the better skilled players rather than only in players who run about for 90 minutes. Dawson and Easter should have started at Woking and I( am sure that if we can get Balanta and Easter on the pitch at the same time we will see some good stuff.

Pretty much sums up my views on Balanta completely. You can tell he is a step ahead most of the time. He just doesn't get on the ball enough..through no real fault of his own

I think there is a player in Balanta but he needs a run of games. His style isn't suited to the sh*theap we played on at Dartford but I am hopeful that if he plays on Saturday that he will fare a lot better.
I would like to see him go on a few runs down the wing or cut inside a bit more, as Lee Brown said in the Post a month or two back that Balanta is an incredibly talented winger (having played with him at QPR).

How do you get to really rate Dawson? Because my sole knowledge of football is not based on brfc. He did very well on his last loan and is highly rated. Balanta hasnt really done anything in football for some time but im genuinely interested in peoples views.
