For more than a century, Bristol Rovers and City fans have been the fiercest of rivals. On the terraces they would never be seen embracing like this – but love has conquered all for one happy couple.
Keith Brookman and Anne Bright married at The Mansion House in Clifton, surrounded by their cherished family and closest friends.
Keith is a press officer at Rovers and edits the match-day programme. A familiar face at the Memorial Stadium, he has travelled home and away with the recently-relegated club for almost 18 years.
Anne is a GP’s receptionist in Bedminster – but at the weekend her focus shifts to her beloved Robins.
As a season ticket holder in the Dolman Stand at Ashton Gate, she endured nine months of ups and downs in League One.
But for both husband and wife, the season ended with a romantic high and they look forward to many more years together.
