Javier Milei won in Argentina. He’s a libertarian, immediately dubbed “far right” by the Guardian, in custom hilarious fashion.
Just to clue those in, Libertarians believe in a limited state and greater personal freedoms being protected from state intrusion.
Which is bracketed by the Guardian into the same political camp as ethnic nationalists who want state led solutions and to remove the right of citizens for the collective benefit of an ethnic group.
Confused? Nowhere near as much as the Guardian are, or want you to be.
In Holland, Gert Wilders has won by a large margin. Also deemed “far right” although this time slightly more accurately. The main electoral point being a reduction in illegal migration.
The BBC have asserted it will be impossible for wilders to enact his policies due to EU laws.
It seems “our democracies” are under threat (to translate, this is what they say when the wrong guy wins!)
Will Milei succeed in slashing the state in Argentina?
Will Wilders bring about a Nexit?
