Do you have a split between loons and safe seats? My concern is that the Conservatives will actually be left with proportionately more ERG/New Conservatives than One Nation and end up more Reform-lite. I’m not sure which MP’s the biggest majorities, apart from I know that Braverman and Truss have very safe seats . That’s a bit too nerdy for me, needs an expert like Super on the case ! 😀 All your 'favourite' MPs are down at the bottom (ie the 'safest' conservatives) Seats ordered from safest Labour to safest Conservative Doesn't mean that's how the next election will go, in 2019 key policy areas and therefore many seats were skewed by Brexit and may well be skewed different ways by different issues....parties will also be spending money and targeting seats in different ways this time around...

UK at risk of recession after economy shrinks By Michael Race Business reporter, BBC News
The UK is at risk of recession after revised figures showed the economy shrank between July and September. Gross domestic product, which measures the health of the economy, contracted by 0.1% after previous estimates suggested growth has been flat. Meanwhile, there was zero growth between April and June, after it was first calculated to have risen by 0.2%. A recession is typically defined as when the economy shrinks for two three-month periods - or quarters - in a row. There have been concerns over the UK's weak economic growth for some time, but the country has managed to avoid a recession so far. Ashley Webb, UK economist at Capital Economics, said that the revised figures "may mean that the mildest of mild recessions started" in the third quarter between July and September. But he added regardless of whether there was a "small recession", the bigger picture was that economists expected economic growth to "remain subdued throughout 2024."

Some heartwarming stories. "Since it started in 2009, the Building Bridges scheme has helped more than 180 doctors like Maida to get their licence to practice with the GMC and find jobs in the NHS. Funded by Health Education England, it has also found “transitional” healthcare jobs for nearly 400 other health professionals. A similar programme in Scotland has helped more than 40 refugee doctors find jobs since 2017. With a vacancy rate of 7.2% for doctors in England alone, participating trusts say the scheme has huge potential benefits for the health service. “While it costs the NHS about £290,000 to train a UK doctor from scratch, it only costs a fraction of this – around £25,000 – to retrain a refugee doctor through this programme.” “I try to always be aware of how privileged I am,” he says. “Now I am a British citizen, I feel I have a duty to give back to society.” " www.theguardian.com/society/2023/dec/24/britain-gave-me-safety-now-as-a-doctor-i-can-give-back-the-charity-helping-refugees-requalify-to-practise-in-the-uk

After a while he started settling in and became an asset to his host family and the community. Didn't stop some wanting him gone though, no matter where he would be sent to or what fate awaited him, worried there would be more like him coming and changing their settled lives. Poor fella, only relative was his Aunt Lucy who still lives alone in Darkest Peru.
