I assume GD's just had all his loans repaid with interest. How great must be to have failure rewarded?

The break even figure for this seasons budget is an average gate of 7650 (source is Mr Watola at the q and a) so despite the amazing support we are still actually losing money im afraid. But in Div 2 it was 9,500?? So we're effectively getting 2,000 fans more income closer to our break even point than previous seasons? in that case maybe we could break even if we get relegated more often? :-) now that's what i call a plan

interesting to read from the Nuneaton Forum: "Noise galore No dicks leaning on the boards No bother No arrogance No 'on loan to the conference'
Just a great bunch getting behind their team
I was massively impressed "

"Possibly the loudest away support I've heard at Liberty Way today. At one point it sounded as if everyone in the away stand was singing."

There fans were the quietest I have not heard,i even thought they were painted in, as they hardly moved. Very cold, and when we went quiet, not often, you could hear a pin drop

Nuneaton fan after the game said that as a team/club he thought we were streets ahead of Luton. Not sure whether I agree buy still nice to hear.

Wish them well though.

I know i'm like a stuck record but DC deserves a lot of credit for this. WHATEVER happens for the rest of this season, DC (and maybe others at the club) have taken a lot of the BS out of our club, our attitude, our players, our contracts, etc and have given us something to be proud of again, and got on a road to financial prudence.

BTW, our average away following is now slightly up, to 729 over the 17 games so far, and those games have included 4 all ticket matches, 4 Tuesday night games, and 2 bank holiday games.
Average distance travelled is a not inconsiderable 132 miles per game (one-way from Bristol).
We have provided 31% of the crowd as well.

Some more good quotes to consider before songs like "You're only here to see the Gas" come out. And I have a lot of respect for the smaller club fans, as I hate the glory hunting that goes on above.
- Seemed like a great bunch of fans getting on with it rather than moaning they are in non league footy,
- Days like today what makes the conference good to me, yes we have no chance and can't possibly compete with them but playing a team like Bristol rovers is incredible, I will really miss Grimsby Wrexham etc when I'm in the stands watching us away at oxford and Gloucester in front of 400 fans next season
- I have the feeling they realise they are in this league on merit - just like Boro are.
- Ditto, and massively jealous.
- Unlike some other ex-League fans, they are grounded and S**theads excepted, generous in outlook. Their history makes ours look like a walk in the park.
City fans might not want to read or accept it, but I am quite enjoying this season, as long as it doesn't turn into several. Plenty of proper grounds and proper fans, and better than the usual overpaid underperformance of league two.

I'm just wondering...and please don't take this negatively...but if we don't go up this season do people reckon we will get the same sort of support next season...if we were challenging again? Just interested...

Just interested... Numbers or mentality? Numbers will obviously decrease if we don't go up - same for Portsmouth this season I imagine. Mentality, however, should remain similar. DC has got a group of players who will fight for the shirt, and I'm happy to support a team like that.

Is Nuneaton away a new high for the gas The away end nearly full One side of terracing majority gas Main stand vast majority gas Corporate boardroom majority gas
That just leaves the home end free of gas
So three quarters of the ground occupied and outnumbered home supprt
