Has anyone got any old Rovers kits that they'd be willing to sell to a young retro-head? I'm only twenty but I'm a sucker for classic kits from before my time. Instead of letting them gather dust in the attic, why not sell for a bit of dosh? In particular I'm looking for the snack box "tesco carrier bag" kit from the 96/97 season. I'd be so grateful.

I've got one of Byron Anthony's shirts from one of his last games for us signed by him and the rest of the team. It's a bit dirty as you'd expect but haven't washed it as I don't want the writing to run. Not sure I'd want to sell it and I know it's not exactly retro but what do you reckon it'd be worth ?

There's some great ones on eBay if you're prepared to spend a few quid.

I'd think you'd be lucky to find many people with the tesco bag top, surely we couldn't have sold many at the time.
The only old top I've got is an away shirt, white with Universal Components sponsor, it was Gary Penrice' shirt from his last ever game for us at twerton, seem to remember it was a friendly game, against who i can't remember, but I can remember running onto the pitch, racing my mate to Penny and grabbing it as he took it off.

That's very generous of you newmarketgas. Well done.
Don't suppose anyone has any kids shirts they don't want? My 10 year old is growing out of his 2002 era stone ( I think they called it) quarters shirt. I'm a bit strapped for cash, but could pay postage and maybe a small fee.
Oh and being half way around the world it doesn't really matter what era..

If Fetch wants to make a small donation to a charity of his own choice after he has seen the rags I send him that is fine by me :0)

The Tesco carrier bag shirt was a master stroke in marketing I seem to recall, so different to previous designs that quite a few were sold.

I feel bad taking them for free - At least let me buy you a pint sometime? I'll definitely make a donation to charity if you're certain you don't want anything for them? Thanks for helping a guy out, I'll pop you a message!

No problem mate, a pint would be great when I get over that way, I just thought it made sense for someone to have some fun from them.
