DC will really want to win this one. I expect a near full strength and fired up Walsall to turn up. Pressure will also be on BG to produce a result after today's dismal showing. What would normally be a meaningless tinpot cup game will have a lot more interest than usual I suspect.

DC club legend and I wish our fans could be in the stands to give him a proper welcome! I do wonder if DC had the financial backing that BG has had since wael has taken full control of the club we could have been a league above? Instead he was forced to sell key players and was pushed out for being outspoken when mentioning the failure to get the training ground developed etc but since his departure those funds on and off the field have been started! He brought great success on a shoe string and yes a couple of players he brought in didnt perform but look at how many did!

DC must be licking his lips at the prospect of facing Garner and the romantic in me would quite enjoy DC sticking the boot in and showing that lower league nous is worth more than training a bunch of primer league youth.

I agree with the sentiment about DC but he can’t complain about backing having signed Bennett on the most ludicrous contract known to man. Sadly DC run out of ideas and enthusiasm. When we inevitably get rid of Garner I’d love DC to come back. If the club is going to go to sh** I’d prefer it to do so under DC, a man who will always be Gas. Garner isn’t one of us and I don’t think he ever will have anywhere near the appeal to fans as DC.

It's a mickey mouse cup but you do feel that we need a win to get some sort of confidence back in the manager.

I was hoping we could play the kids / fringe players in this one after a good performance today but obviously that’s not the case now. Makes this a selection headache really , does he play a strong team and make the changes he feels he needs to make after todays shitfest ? If he does then they’ll most likely be shattered against Sunderland which is the big one. If he plays the fringe players then he’ll have no idea whether the changes he makes from Ipswich to Sunderland will be good ones because he didn’t try it out v Wallsall. The pressure is certainly on our young manager and I really want him to succeed but I think everything has gone against him in his time for us. Some of that has been his own making and some of it has been just unlucky. He needs wins and fast.
