Seen a fan comment that apparently they have just offered Gerrard £50,000 a week. Yet they lay off a few staff on a lot less. Not a good luck for them, although I'm sure most clubs are doing the same.

I take no pleasure from reading that because it’s 40 Bristolians losing their jobs. I dislike City and Lansdown but I genuinely feel sympathy for those who are going to have to search for a new job in a time of rising unemployment.
It’s a really bad trend in football as a whole that the employees on lowest wages are always the first ones to be made redundant.

It was always Gerrard before Terry. Whatever costs them the most for further failure is fine by me. It looks like being Hughton. Backed him at the start at 8/1 when they first sacked Lee.

If it ends up being Hughton I suspect that will be a return to Bristol for Paul Trollope. Poor old 1982 - still they can put him on the website with welcome to Bristol in the background.
Feel sorry for the staff at Ashton getting laid off - very poor considering worth of their owner and the amount they pay out to players etc. Suspect the Tax dodger will hold out his hand for a grand for everyone he keeps on as well ......

Surely billionaire Lansdown could have kept these staff on , but no he would rather have a few extra grand in his fat bank account, and see some of his soon to be ex staff struggle. The man may have given S**t loads of money but he ha shown his true colours red , selfish and greedy, no time for people like him, i am not wealthy but manged to raise 25 grand for the homeless.

And they have the cheek to call Wael skint or right. That BRFC don’t have a penny to rub together.
Whilst Wael promises to pay people’s salary, City make 40 working class people redundant whilst probably signing a manager in the same week on £50k per week.
Horrible club & fans.
