I’m inclined to agree with the great Spurs manager Bill Nicholson - “If he’s not interfering with play, what’s he doing on the pitch?”

Anyone know what sort of formation we had today? Was it 5-4-1 or was Sercombe behind JCH in a 5-3-1-1?

Wondered if Garner might eventually go down the 3-4-3 route as used by Wolves if he could bring in a couple of pacey wide players?
Or even use Nichols wide where he might be more effective?
Jaak Davies Craig Kilgour Little Upson Ogogo Leahy Rodman JCH Nichols
or the more usual 4-2-3-1:
Jaak Little Kilgour Craig Leahy Upson Ogogo Rodman Sercombe Nichols (or new LW) JCH

Good result today and that is all you can come up with? yeah good result and happy - don’t confuse me with your own battles mate just a joke Just a joke like this following post on Boxing Day? "Is it wrong that his face and way annoy me already? Take it back to school as such and he reminds me of one of those annoying keener types that use ten words rather than 1 and are away with the fairies!" Proper comedian...but don't give up the day job.

Yeah he’s not my cup of tea to be honest as I love an old school manager in style that’s a bit more aggressive but with all the modern tricks of course but pirate I’m completely behind him at the games and really hope he does well. I’m just annoyed a little as I can see the changes and disruption coming imo and we were on to a good thing and if we just got a left winger, and goal scoring forward then we could of really challenged in my opinion. I now foresee disruption and evolution into a new style which takes the focus off of our league position subconsciously and will mean we will be up and down for a period before it settles again. For me the players now look on trial and on edge rather than settled as before. None the less good point today and we move on and pray we beat me dons and push on and hope I’m talking sh**! I fear I’m not and we will sink until big changes in the summer.

I fear I’m not and we will sink until big changes in the summer. "I know the strengths that are already here and what's gone on so far this season." "There's a great platform here. I need to respect what's been done, what strengths there are in that dressing room, but also try and develop it and take it forward." "Very much evolution. It will be drip fed because the team is doing well and I think it would be foolish of me to make sweeping changes. It will be building on the strengths in place and then as we go along, drip feeding ideas in, getting my ideas across, and also a longer-term picture of where we want to go as well." "We want short-term success, we need to win games, but we also want to evolve and develop a style of play and a way of operating that allows the club to grow in the future." Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Yeah so the players think right better start getting ready to be different to secure my future and imo it will subconsciously disrupt things - it no fault of the players and it’s no fault of BG but it’s inevitable from a human point of view imo and believe this will mean the fine margins we’ve been been on the right side of so many times this season will now begin to swing a bit. It’s a long term appointment so let’s hope we all have the patience and backing to make it work.

There doesn’t seem to be much activity post match from all of those that has us down for a certain heavy loss & miserable afternoon. Dare I suggest I’m that surprised. You said "when we beat Fleetwood", I said not gonna happen though is it. And I was right. No heavy loss or miserable afternoon predicted. Sit back down, thanks.

Looked very unfit today as well as stroppy. Normally he wins way over 50% of his headers today I counted two that he won and his hold up play was sloppy too. We need him fit ASAP thought his arse looked fat on Boxing Day Yeah, he looks less fit for every game that goes. Mind you, he doesn't get the service he needs either - from Nichols especially. I wonder sometimes how they coach Nichols because he does the same flat Duracell run every game. He gets a through ball into a yard or two of space but gets caught and robbed every time because he has no pace and holds on to it too long. Yesterday all he had to do was take a couple of paces and play it to JCH who was in oceans of space out left. But no, they caught him up as they always do and took it off him as they always do. JCH was not a happy "bunny". It was good to see our defence back to their normal best after their worrying second half display against Wimbledon. Fingers crossed for a bit of pace in the window.

We battled hard & were a quarter of an inch from a late winner. You can hope for a defeat at MK & your chance of some Ben bashing another day.

I haven't said I want us to lose or that I dislike Garner. I simply said "Won't happen though will it". And it didn't. If you really thought we looked like the more likely winner, then you're only kidding yourself. A point away at Fleetwood was a very good result, they have a strong side with a very strong home record. But keep on assuming if you so wish.
