At last, a home game in the league and a chance to move further up the table against lowly Southend United managed by former England International Sol Campbell and also to commemorate the life of Rovers great Stuart Taylor. Safe travels to the Gasheads coming in from far and wide to attend this one, score predictions? COYB

I assume no Rollin today as I haven't heard anything about an appeal over his red v Plymouth, also Ollie is suspended for 5 yellows in the league. So 442 with Craig and Kilgour plus Little and Leahy full backs, Upson, Ogogo*, Sercombe and THD/Rodman, JCH and big Vic up front? *Ogogo has to avoid a yellow to be available v Ipswich

FINALLY! Football is back for me!
I missed the Shrewsbury game as I was visiting family, the others were cup games so I haven't been able to watch (apart from Bromley away) and I was on holiday end of August - early November. With all the cups & international breaks etc, the last Rovers game I saw on iFollow was MK Dons - 12th October ffs!
I've been eyeing up this fixture for a while, in theory we should win comfortably - but I don't think we will. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win, but I have a bad feeling for some reason. No idea why!
From what I've read, Southend a a truly awful side this season

Southend obviously aren’t a very good side, what could possibly go wrong? 😁 A nice comfortable 4 - 1 win on the cards today 🙏

I don’t like to predict scores but I’ll go vague and say a low scoring win

Southend's last 4 league games are 1-0 defeat away at Sunderland, 4-1 defeat away at Portsmouth (Portsmouth scored 2 in the last 10 minutes) 4-0 defeat home to Oxford (Oxford scored 2 in the last 5 minutes), 1-1 draw away at Burton (Burton down to 10 men for an hour)
We shouldn't be complacent, and I'm sure Cogs won't let that happen, but they obviously showed some resilience in all their last three away games. Score early and we should be able to go on and take all three points reasonably comfortably.

Rodman in as right wing back.

As Rollin clearly pulled Moore back outside the box that could well warrant a red anyway. I wonder what the position is with Nichols as he played is last game for Rovers as JCH looks a bit lost w/o him alongside him in the side.

I did wonder whether to suggest Nichols up front with JCH as you are correct, he does seem to play better with Nichols alongside.

Leahy or Kelly at LB, but more so the 4 in midfield - he can choose from Ollie, Rodman, Ogogo, Upson and Sercs. I'd personally go with Rodman on right, Sercs on the left and Ollie and Ogogo in the middle, Upson to have a break. Would go for Smith and JCH rather than 2 big guys up front, so Adebojeyo on the bench for me. question for everyone. Just think with 20 mins to go and GC wants to stick a 3rd sub on to get a winner - who would you put on ? Nicho or Benno ? or is your answer neither

The cut off is 19 games so Ogogo must avoid one today to be able to play at Ipswich, and avoid one there too so he is free to play in the following games
