What would happen if nobody bought a season ticket ? We'd lose to Bromley, we'd be heavily in debt, and we'd never get a new stadium. Hmmm..

What would happen if nobody bought a season ticket ? We'd go bust most likely as I assume a vast majority of the faithful 7,000/8,000 are s/t holders. If we all picked and choosed our games to watch then the club would struggle to survive.

I also find it amazing the amount of fans that I’ve heard say that they’re not a season ticket holder but they go most weeks. They’re either lying , stupid or unorganised, it’s probably shared between the three.

Perhaps they are socrates but sometimes it’s hard to afford a ST if you have a big mortgage in an expensive area, children and only have one wage coming into the house because your partner stays at home to look after the children esp if you’ve got to find it all in one chunk. It’s only recently that staged payments have been available. Sometimes there’s just not enough disposable income left for a ST. It all depends upon individual circumstances. UTG!

Shame the club are not allowing season ticket holders 'free' access to this match. We have paid for the cancelled Bury match with no reimbursement. As Bromley are entitled to a share of the gate receipts,I don’t think they would be to happy if Rovers were letting in fans for nothing. The value of what season ticket holders are loosing is still more than a ticket for the same section on Sunday. They aren't exactly letting fans in for nothing if anything they would be making a few quid by swapping a league game with a cheaper alternative. It's a difficult scenario for the club and you can't blame them for quietly saying nothing. I think they should make some sort of gesture even if it's only a discount off another purchase or a free ticket for a friend or something.

You can pay it in stages which is very similar to paying on the day every 2/3 weeks but much cheaper.

On the other hand the players, staff and all the bills for that fallow week will still need paying. sh** happens, it's not the clubs fault. If anything, this whole debacle is down to the EFL, so if anything they should be paying compo. And there's about as much chance of that as hell freezing over. Sometimes you've just got to suck it up.

They shouldn't treat us like customers when things are going well for them and then suddenly be understanding fans of the club again when something bad happens.

At the end of the day, thats all we've ever been, customers. The fans have been customers ever since the game has been professional, for how else is the club to be run without the customers money? Without doubt we are some of the longest suffering customers in existence, as I doubt anyone would return to the same butchers if they kept getting sold rotten meat, but you know what I mean. As far as I can see, the only difference between these owners and all those who have gone before is that these have told it how it is. I'm sure they appreciate were fans who love the club, and will put up with all sorts of crap, but when all's said and done, we're customers.

Joe Dunne re JCH “there’s a lot of football between now and whenever!”
Call me cynical but end of season would be easier to say - reading in between the lines - off in January?

I absolutely believe we will be beaten. It won’t be an upset. Given that we are very unlikely to go up or down this season, a good cup run could be this season’s excitement.
