Shame the club are not allowing season ticket holders 'free' access to this match. We have paid for the cancelled Bury match with no reimbursement. As Bromley are entitled to a share of the gate receipts,I don’t think they would be to happy if Rovers were letting in fans for nothing.

Appreciate the sentiment, but with all the lost match-day revenue we'll be without for the Bury game, can the club really justify losing more from another match-day's income? I don't appreciate the sentiment tbh, it's a sh*t situation for everyone involved - the last thing the club needs to do it be losing even more money.

i also went to Hayes all those moons ago,and seem to remember as a shot from us came in on the Hayes goal it looked a certain goal for us but as luck would have it,it hit one of our own players and deflected away! not a lot has changed since then.

A pub got trashed and there was various rumours of spurs & (bizarrely) chelski knobheads turning up. Don't think Hitchin have ever had much of a hooligan problem... Are you sure that wasn’t the infamous early eighties “ Battle of Barnet” Like a Wild West film in that boozer. Till this day, still the worst pub brawl I’ve ever seen. Was there two Battles of Barnet?!? I definitely remember a big fight outside the Queens Arms in the early 00's. To this day I couldn't work out if it was a locals vs local or locals vs Bristol Rovers. It was about 10 minutes after FT. I just remember a hail of bottles and glasses and a lot of overweight people involved.

You can think what you like - perhaps the multi millionaire owners or the maybe the multi million pound business that's called the EFL can take the hit. Perhaps the club can also ask all the fans who aren't season ticket holders and haven't paid up front for their entertainment to make a donation as well to the 'poor' club for the revenue they're going to lose through not staging the match. Why should season ticket holders some with maybe their wife and a couple of children as well, take the hit?

Hayes, the club that helped launch the careers of Cyrille Regis, Les Ferdinand, Robin Friday and of course Jason Roberts.

Why are ST holders so entitled? Bury at home was the only game I was supposed to see over the Christmas period and I booked a flight later in the week so I could see it. This flight cost more, should I invoice Bristol Rovers, the EFL or Bury for this additional cost please? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance i didn't say I was or wasn't a season ticket holder, but I would expect the EFL to share the £700k solidarity payment which would have been paid to Bury to be shared between the remaining 22 clubs - £32k ish which would have gone some way to offsetting the loss. Shame about the flight but what a dumb statement to make.

Shame about the flight but what a dumb statement to make. The first half of the solidarity payment was paid to Bury at the start of the season. They will receive the second half in January when all clubs like ours receive the second installment. The powers that be at the Premier League decided to do this a few months ago.

Well you said “We have paid for the cancelled Bury match with no reimbursement” - so either you’re a ST holder or like to talk on behalf of them. The club will set to lose a lot more than the fans did in this case, I’d hazard a guess most ST holders don’t mind, although I could be wrong. I’d prefer kept any money to offset their loss. But each to their own

Hayes, the club that helped launch the careers of Cyrille Regis, Les Ferdinand, Robin Friday and of course Jason Roberts. The book “The greatest footballer you never saw” one of the best biographies I’ve read. Quite a maverick. I knew someone who went to school with him, a few stories. UTG!

I'd rather let the club keep my money to be honest. It's no big deal, £24 or whatever it would have been.

You just got to write stuff like this off I'm afraid. I actually agree with you - but when a poster from afar comes on here and knocks season ticket holders - "Why are ST holders so entitled?" and comes up with stupid statements about the cost of his air fare going up is a tad provocative. Without season ticket holders that not only pay up front, and effectively keep the club afloat during the close season, I would also suggest are in the main 'die hard' supporters who also buy football shirts, programmes, 50/50 tickets and refreshments, as do I'm sure many non ST holders. They commit to the whole season to watching the team and supporting the club whether they turn up or not and not when it just suits them. I'm a 'die hard' Bristol Rovers supporter of many many years, and will continue to be so. Geoff Bradford was a great player!!
