Could do with Bolton away soon, get the confidence up 22nd October we play them at home. Assume they'll have some grizzled old pros in place by then and be tough to break down. The kids who have been playing for the last few weeks will be back at school. (Or is it half-term then?! ) Shambles that Gills and Tranmere can bank those 5-0 wins. At the very least they should be like San Marino in the Euros and winning sides not be allowed to count goal difference.
It is great that they have survived though - unthinkable for Bolton to go out of the league in that way.

That's not answering the question. He asked whether you really are a Rovers supporter - 55 years of moaning and slagging people off left right and centre doesn't count as supporting. Well i remember Tyrone and his Brother from Tote End Days so he has supported The gas for a while I remember those days as well. Me and our John and mad Mike on the number 4 bus to Eastville.

Keith Hill now appointed manager, so he has 48hrs to sign nearly a squad full of players! www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/hill-appointed-as-wanderers-manager/

If you didn't watch the match why comment, as losing that match was day light robbery. Well I was there and we weren’t clinical enough and didn’t take our chances. That’s not unlucky or getting robbed it’s being not clinical enough. Just felt we weren’t gonna score if we were there til midnight I wasn’t there but that we was robbed is churned out every week by loads of fans who have seen their side play well not take their chances and lose. It’s all about putting it in the back of the net more times than them and we lost two nil. That’s not robbed it’s being less clinical than the opposition. To be fair last season under Cogs we were often outplayed in the middle of the park but scrapped wins and draws to keep us up.

It's pretty similar.

We just don’t score enough goals it’s as simple as that. Burton not a great side either. Can’t see we’re gonna pick up many points away from home I can't understand why we dropped Nichols after his 2 goals in a week for the lightweight Smith. Proper brute is Nichols 😂

Because that side had won the last 2 league games and Smith and JCH had linked up well. He rested the strikers in the cup game, but reverted back to the same team today.

Haven't seen the game so only really going on comments on here but sounds very much as if we played pretty well especially in 2nd half. Completely agree we need to be more clinical with our chances but it's easy to criticise managerial decisions after the event. If GC had changed systems at 0-0 & we'd lost he'd have been crucified on here. As it was it sounds as if we were on top pretty much until conceeding so why would he have switched ? imo bringing on Nichols (who many argued should have started) for Smith was a pretty obvious thing to do. Pretty even first half. We outplayed them second half but failed to score. They break away twice at the death and score. That's football. They didn't deserve to win and we deserved a draw at least. That's football. Keep playing like this and the breaks will come. Not all teams are as well organised as Burton with a canny manager like Clough.

That's two seasons in a row at their place they've scored against us at the death to win.
As Congas says, Clough is an experienced manager who organises well and gets the best out of his players.
I think GC is similar.

Not read the comments on this thread but watched all the 2nd half and thought we played very, very well bar the last 5 minutes. Gutted. No way did 2-0 tell the story of the game.
We just need to dust ourselves down and go again. No need to get too downbeat over that performance.

We just need to dust ourselves down and go again. No need to get too downbeat over that performance. BBC RADIO Derby's unbiased opinion was that it was a masterclass in soaking up pressure and striking on the counter at the end. My unbiased opinion is that it was a masterclass in riding your luck. I was there and can remember three or four melees in their goalmouth, right in front of me, where we should have scored. HOWEVER, we didn't and must learn from it. I can't, by the way, remember any such melees in our goalmouth in the first half. They huffed and puffed but had little cutting edge - until the 87th minute. The second goal was as a result of us pushing everyone forward.
