3 x 2-0 away defeats, terrified tactics, 6 conceeded and can’t keep on relying on nicking a goal.
They brought on Templeton on the wing who took the ball upfield and caused us problems. Our manager doesn’t have the vision to make a change like this. Tyler is a behind the defenders striker feeding off wingers but he’s being asked to play in a long ball set up. We could be there till midnight huffing and puffing.
It’s going to be a long season, I would take 6th bottom now and call it over. He could have taken a CB off at 0-0 and gone with Rodman, even our subs are obvious

We didn’t get the win so that line of thinking is immaterial. The league doesn’t give sympathy points for dominating a half. If we play like this consistently and score goals yes, but history is littered with teams that dominated possession but couldn’t do anything with it. If you have 10% possession and win 1-0 then it’s deserved in my book because goals count towards wins, possession is simply a nice statistic for the loser to take a moral victory from. You need to score when you are on top, of you donM’t you only have yourself to blame Of course but was just trying to say that we were a whisker away from being in a good position in the league, your point about us being 14th is rather immaterial as only 5 games have been played. We converted possession into chances, their keeper made a couple of fine saves from what I could see from Ifollow. Should of scored when we were on top though you are right, but plenty of positives to take from that nevertheless. Depends how we play in the next away game! This may yet be a one-off...although as much as I’m nowhere near a fan of GC as a potential long term manager we are certainly better positioned than I expected after this number of games

Jaakola getting nutmegged ffs Poor goalkeeping According to KB he’s been called up by Finland so will miss the Accrington game. Seems the jury is out on whether that’s a huge loss or not. Yeah jury still out. His crossed has definitely improved since he came though. Looking forward to seeing Jordi in the league.

Haven't seen the game so only really going on comments on here but sounds very much as if we played pretty well especially in 2nd half. Completely agree we need to be more clinical with our chances but it's easy to criticise managerial decisions after the event. If GC had changed systems at 0-0 & we'd lost he'd have been crucified on here. As it was it sounds as if we were on top pretty much until conceeding so why would he have switched ? imo bringing on Nichols (who many argued should have started) for Smith was a pretty obvious thing to do.

Sounds like a tough pill to swallow with almost twice as many shots ... however, you have to put them away!

I imagine we'll see Jordi in the midweek mickey mouse cup game before the next league match? I hope he does well, I recall he was a bit shaky in a couple of preseason games? How many games does Jaakkola miss?

Very unlucky to lose that. By far the better team and numerous chances. Sickening to lose but some big positives in the display, the settled team seems to be jelling together really well.

Just back.Short journey for us.Didn't deserve to win but the scoreline was harsh.Their number 10, Akin was top notch.JJ kept pulling Alfie K at corners so blatantly,it was a hands around his waist job. Can't believe he got away with it constantly. Tyler-Smith very weak up front making us effectively a striker short.Leahy very ordinary but our lack of quality in midfield cost us dear today with no creativity whatsoever.Played well overall and deserved a point but without any midfield quality ,think we'll struggle.Davies superb.

Two great performances bringing two wins & now back to back encouraging performances with narrow defeats. Bring on Accy next week, end the Barron run at home against them and 3 valuable points.

Disappointing result, just a tad away from useful point, shame to concede so late , second goal conceded when we had to go for it, ah well floating around eighth to sixteenth is about our level and that will do for now!

Give it a rest FFS! We went 1 down in the 87th minute, unjustly too! Are you really a Rovers supporter? f**king joker! Only for 55 years. A bit longer than yourself maybe? That's not answering the question. He asked whether you really are a Rovers supporter - 55 years of moaning and slagging people off left right and centre doesn't count as supporting.

Burton were the better side in the first half, much sharper passing, playing one touch with plenty of movement; in the second half for the first 40 minutes Rovers got on the front foot without creating a real goal-scoring opportunity. Then another poor defending routine, went wrong, fella cuts in and slots the ball into the far corner, with no way back Rovers simply pushed forward in vain, got caught on the counter attack, 2 nil. For me JCH was tremendous, BRFC will do well to keep hold of him, with a Derby County scout in the stand, he could not fail to be impressed.
As for GC bless him, 5 at the back, still leaking goals,no creativity in midfield, makes it really hard for the forwards, who are feeding off scraps and deep aimless balls into the box from the full backs. Huffing and puffing with not one goal away from home in three leagues matches, either GC changes his negative philosophy or BRFC will be at the wrong end of the table, again, by November.

Diddnt go today or listen on the radio as I was at work. What I’ve seen and heard by the majority of fans and from GC was that we were unlucky today. Hopefully these narrow defeats will turn in our favour soon as our performances of late have been much improved. I know it’s sh** when we lose , but I for one will not be getting too down about it , onto the next league game and three points !!!!! UTG !!!!!!
