Think Roy should come in later now, give him one more chance in the 2nd inns, if he fu(ks up for a 4th time get him in later, its clearly not working.
Jos Butler, I honestly don't know whether to persist with him, or drop him full stop.
He's not showing me anything to say he's a good test batsman.
Think bowling wise we are pretty much covered, and am happy with it.
Should draw this game, so that means we must win a 3 match series 2-0 or 3-0
Very hard going against Australia.

Draw written all over this now afraid, a very slim chance that England could win it? But only 2 days left and we have to get that cheating slug Smith out twice! 😂

So after 1 Innings its level. We need the win more than them, how do we go about it?
Go hard, and risk losing wickets, or play normal bat till after lunch tomorrow and hope we can bowl them out in 1 1/2 sessions, at the same time risk losing.
Or play for a draw?

Well, Smith has been the one to hold every innings together so far. Without him you'd fancy England to roll over the Aussies. With no Smith, and the emergence of Archer the dynamic has certainly shifted. With his pace and lift Archer will make the Aussie batsmen think twice about coming forward onto the front foot. In their minds, they'll more often than not look to play on the back foot, and this is where the fuller delivery will bring LBW into play. |

At 130-2, I thought Root had made a dreadful mistake putting them in.
All`s well.. etc.
Next 4 days set fair. If we can make in excess of 300, we should be looking at 1-1 with 2 to play.

Fantastic performance from Archer yesterday but now today is the real test.
How many times in the past have we been in this position and then threw it away with some stupid panic shot selections.
The weather forecast is set good we got loads of time we need to concentrate on our batting now and build a good total and put them under some real pressure.
