If there isn't a ridiculous sell on clause in it, then at least we've got a bit of security and plenty of time on it. I'd offer him an improved one straight away now though, and at least £2M release clause in the current market. We don't want another Taylor, Bodin scenario where we get peanuts compared to their true value. Taylor's true value six months before we sold him was £0 after he chose to run down his contract. He signed a new contract though didn't he and snubbed Oxford. Him, his agent and us agreed on a £300,000 release clause. That was my point. Taylor was worth at least £2M in today's climate after scoring pretty much 60 goals in 2 and half seasons.

Opinion: THD is a better player when playing as a left winger as opposed to left back.

Great interview GC listening to him I think he's the sort of leader you want in the trenches, Is he the leader you want in the cavalry, hopefully we'll be on the charge next season.

It has been an awful season, but there have been positives I think GC has proved himself worth his chance, Ollie Clarke has grown as a player, Bonham, JCH, and the team collectively showed some fight. ollie Clarke has been awful, apart from the goal he was shocking and I would have any of the Bradford midfielders over him they can pass the ball Agreed. Wish it wasn’t the case but unless he suddenly takes off, OC is not good enough to take us forward as a centre midfielder. In fact none of the CM’s are. Most critical position on the park imo. UTG

All the hoof ball that actually went no where near JCH (he tried his best to chase) came straight back at us again for the 5/10 minutes before they scored.

Interesting comment GC made about their No 10 Jack Payne, best Bradford player on the Pitch and GC "Knows" him very well... Possible signing next season if the go down ?

UTG We say these things and when you are having the season we are it looks that way, but this is league one not champions league. Everyone said we were hopeless at Coventry, but we got a point there. Sunderland could not even beat them at home. Ollie is not a great player, but he would get in to most sides in this league. James Clarke is not the greatest defender, but he's a good foil for Lockyer and Craig who for all of their good defending cannot pass. When/ if Ollie Clarke goes to another league one side I bet everyone will be saying what a great player he was like they did with Browner who was nothing special apart from the promotion goal.

Gonna have to shift our own Payne first! Stefan has been an unused sub the last 5 games and scored no goals for Shrews. Bennett has 3 in 9 for Swindon. WYHHB?

Never has mid-table obscurity tasted sweeter. And although it's sobering to wonder where we might be without JCH, let's instead think about where we might be WITH him next season. I’ll be amazed if he’s still with us next season. I just hope we finally get the 2+ million quid this time and there aren’t any dreadful clauses in his contract and it’s a long contract. If JCH goes anytime before next summer then I will be more watered off than any other striker leaving here before - Including the snake and how that went down! He is on a 2 and a half deal here, and must have limited release clauses in his contract as lets be honest he hasn't done anything really in his career before joining us so had no power to add them in.. If he goes between now and the summer of 2020 it will be completly down to the board trying to grab the pennys and a disgrace!

Forgetting about the money and clauses If before we had him someone said you can have a player who will score the goals to save you from relegation, but you will lose him after. Would you have taken that?
No... as that mindset will take us down next season, or the one after.

No... as that mindset will take us down next season, or the one after. So you’d rather we went down ? I’m pretty sure if we hadn’t signed Harris we’d already be down.

Granted he will obviously look better in a more successful team as would everyone. I just don’t think HE is that player to make others look better or drive a team on. That is what you need if you want to progress. By all means keep him but he needs a better player next to him to allow him to perform well. He is not that guy imo. UTG

UTG JCH didn’t take off until he joined us. Sometimes the team you’re in can make you are great player. If you’re in a poor team they can make you look ordinary. I’m still a fan of Ollie and don’t understand the negativity he seems to attract from so many.

Problem is every player as a value, the fact we sell a player doesn't mean the board are money grabbers, if we let him go for next to nothing then they are, as things stand getting £750 for Harrison and replacing him with JCH looks good business, not money grabbing.

Of course not, but saying us filling a huge hole in a sinking ship with paper towels EG: in JCH - only to then remove them before you reach shore will still mean you will sink as a club.

Not in anyway saying he’s a bad player just not someone to build a centre midfield around. UTG

I would rather lose JCH for 500k/£1million next summer and us make the L1 playoffs with a chance of going up then lose him this summer or in January 2020 for £2 million plus.

I thought Ollie was our best midfielder today, not much competition mind. Also he can score and in a goal shy team, JCH apart, that is a valuable asset.
