My own opinions from the game:

Bonham 4.5 Should have done better with the goal

Partington 5 Struggled to win some defensive headers and too one footed going forward
Lockyer 5 Physically dominated by Eaves
Craig 5.5 Slows down the play every time it goes through him
Martin 5 Limited with the ball though didn't come under too much trouble defensively

Bennett 5 A typical performance from him
Sinclair 4 Offered little
Lines 6 Often the only one looking to take responsibility to play the ball.  Should be in the team more often
Sercombe 7 Got going after the red card and unlucky not to have scored again with the post and a good block preventing him
Rodman 5 Tried hard to press the Gills defence but pointless on his own. Missed the target with two identical chances

Nichols 6 Won more of the punts up to him than he deserved to. Set up Bennett for a good chance but should have done better with his tame header at the 'keeper

Subs: Payne 5 More effort than recent games at least but still struggled to hold the ball up

Matthews 5.5 an improvement on Sincair, but he's suffering from being continually in and out the side.
Crowd 5 small but got behind the team in the last twenty minutes.
Ref 5 not his fault we lost.
Gillingham 5 Christmas came a month early for them. They are a poor side and I fully expect us to be playing them in League Two next season.

Results in and Liam Sercombe was Man of the Match with a score of 6.68.

The 11 responses to this thread were the lowest number for a home match since Wycombe in December 2015. Oddly enough, that game was also the 20th league game of the season and also on a Tuesday night. The results were a bit different though- Taylor got a 9.9 rating that game, still the highest ever.

The starting XI average was 4.69.

As this was the 20th league game of the season, I'll update the season statistics thread shortly.
