Bonham 8 another masterclass in goal keeping, shame he has attracted a lot of interest and is now probably out of our league as a permanent signing
Leadbitter 7 got into some good positions and delivered 3 great balls into the box, shame about the other 2 J. Clarke 7 solid Lockyer 7 solid Craig 7.5 pick of the backs just for the goal alone Kelly 6 gave the ball away a couple of times unnecessarily
Upson 7 one of his better games O. Clarke 8.5 MOM for a brace and control of the midfield Sercombe 6.5 two good runs that should have resulted in goals
Nichols 3 If we had a pair of striker we would storm this league. Payne 3 At what other club would a striker make rude gestures to his own fans one week, get picked the next game, have another stinker yet get clapped off the pitch when he is substituted???
Subs: Sinclair 5 Martin NOLE Jakubiak NOLE
Crowd home crowd thin on the ground and barely audible. At last the away fans had something to sing about and we did! Ref 4 homer Blackpool 3 oh dear looked as poor as us in the first half and did not raise their game in the second like we did

Don't get the acceptance of the fact he has not hit the back of the net for over a year. His main job description is to score goals.
If any of us failed in our main objective week in week out we would be sacked (I certainly would).
Until he starts to score and do what he is paid for he will get 3's and 4's from me

Until he starts to score and do what he is paid for he will get 3's and 4's from me I presume you were rating our midfielders 3’s and 4’s on every game where we failed to create any chances of note for our strikers to score then? Seeing as their main job description is to create. I’m not denying that his goal record is pathetic, but in recent games he has been scoring 6’s and 7’s on average with no contributions towards goals whatsoever, yet 3 assists yesterday scored him a 3? Just interested to know why that is.

I think if you look back at my scores you will find I am reasonably consistent, but as the old cliche goes - 'it's all about opinions'
For the record it was 2 assists yesterday :-)
Where are your ratings?
UTG!

Results in and Ollie Clarke was Man of the Match with a score of 8.50.
This was his fifth MotM, coming after just 19 games have been played this season. The only players to reach that milestone at an earlier point in a season are Trotman (14/15- 18 games), Lockyer (15/16- 15), Harrison (17/18- 14) and Bonham (18/19- 15*)
*Remarkably, Bonham only joined after 7 of those games had been played.
The starting XI average was 6.80
Bonham 7.8
Leadbitter 7.0 J. Clarke 7.0 Lockyer 7.3 Craig 7.8 Kelly 6.3
Upson 7.5 O. Clarke 8.5 Sercombe 7.0
Nichols 4.5 Payne 4.3
Subs: Sinclair 5.5 Martin NOLE Jakubiak NOLE
Crowd 7.0 Ref 3.5 Blackpool 4.0

Always good to get some debate about scores in these threads. It shows that people read them and massive credit must go to those who contribute their scores.
That said, my view is that scores for an individual match should be solely on the 90 minutes and independent from a player's performance in the previous game (or year). Ideally this would make the season averages more true as each game would be viewed fresh and could be treated equally.
However, the fact that Nichols hasn't scored for so long can't help but play a part in all of our judgments on him. It happens to all strikers though. Taylor regularly got low ratings inbetween his scoring patches, once getting a 5.2 for not scoring at Stevenage despite scoring in the previous 8 games.

Is that a club record ? How we could do with the little bastard now eh.

It's interesting how Nicholls and Payne get clapped when they get substituted, I don't know why people clap them when they have been poor. Of course I clap, but then I am clapping DC for taking them off
