In view of my inability to predict result correctly, I'm going for a Bolton win.

it's getting darker and wetter the further we get up the motorway. Is the game in any danger of being off? Ohhhhh errrrrrrrr. Come on the Rovers, we're due one. 3-nil the Gas. UTG!

I've got a faded memory of us beating Bolton 2-0 in the FA Cup, when they were in the old Div 1, with Wayne Jones getting both the goals. This must have been about 45 years ago?

Aside from a positive result my only one hope for tonight is that we stick to Spearing like sh** and don't let him run amok like he did at the Mem. Or like Nicky Law did for Bradford at the Mem.

Just to put a positive spin on things - and why not !! We are unbeaten in 6 games - only that the last 5 have been draws . Does anyone know what Rovers' record is for consecutive draws ? Think there's a good chance it will be another tonight as Bolton have probably a weaker side than when we played them - Clough gone and a few injured I believe.

It's a real shame that the referee selected can make such a difference and that looking up his record suggests he prefers to book players from away sides? Still, it's ever been thus but perhaps a little more so than in the past. The best referees are those you notice least but now too many seem to want to make the headlines themselves.

The current run equals the record set in Nov 1975 so a draw tonight will be a new record
