3-0 win with a hat-trick from either Gaffers or James (making it the fourth hat-trick from different players in the same season - I wonder when that has happened before).
And -YES - before you ask. I have been down the pub, it is Friday afternoon after all.

From their forum. Sounds like something you'd read from a Gashead a few years ago.
Like many others I'm afraid I'm losing my enthusiasm.
30 plus years of supporting Vale has left it's toll on me. Yes I have seen it all, nearly. Ups and downs, optimism and pessimism, hopes and let downs. It is all part of a football fans' journey and life.
However the current aura around the club and by the looks and feel of it a vast number of die hards, leaves me cold. No matter who you blame or point the finger at Vale are seemingly doing very little to halt the catastrophic slide down the League.
I will be there Saturday as it's in my blood but oh my god it really is becoming harder to work up the effort to go to matches. If I and many other long term Valiants are this way inclined you have to seriously wonder what future there is IF matters don't change appreciably.
My belief for the whole of my life has always been that a fan should support his/her club through thick/thin, good/bad times and that your Club needs you most when they are down and out of confidence. It is simple following a successful Team. It is easy watching your favourites when times are on the up. However ,as the present climate dictates, when your Club is wallowing pitifully in the mire and getting apparently worse by the day then more than ever they need fans to support them to show we are all as one and wanting an upturn in events. Simple to say isn't it. But the alternative is to moan and frankly quite rightly express an opinion of disgust at the way matters are being handled, but stop attending matches. IMO this only adds to players pressure in playing infront of dwindling numbers only too ready to criticise.
If we can manage to get to the game and vocally support the lads we are at least doing our bit. If we are to be relegated at the very least us fans can show support and make the statement to the Club that WE are Port Vale, NOT Smurf, NOT Brown, NOT the players. We shall be here long after all those have flown the nest.
In some ways we have to be grateful for the Club being "saved" but for better times to come to fruition our support at the gate is needed to show defiance and a definite point in that WE care.
If, a big if I realise, a large crowd can muster on Saturday we may just turn the tide against really a side we should be beating at home. My heart wants a 2 0 win. Come on lads and lasses turn up and see if we can make that spark of a difference in getting 3 points secured.

I said it last time we played them and got quite a lot of slack(especially from Vale fans bigging up how good they were), but anything other than a win here would be disappointing.

One early positive is that their best player Remie Streete will not be playing

That so sounds like a post of ours from a year or two before our relegation to the conference.

Seems a genuine chap...but screw them ,I have no love for Vale ...or Stoke city for that matter.
Hopefully a score of Port Vale 0 v Bristol Rovers 4 will be the outcome.....though I doubt that will be the case ! crowd of 5876....1350 from Bristolia

Got a feeling We'll win this 2 to the nil. One from midfield, Bodin obviously, and one from a forward, no idea who but gaffers is due one.
