Just got back from the game was a terrible performance with bad mistakes for all 3 goals, it's a shame as I think Walsall were there for the taking. Felt a bit happier after listening to DC on the radio, as in he knows where the issues lie and will be addressed with 1 or 2 new additions , I'm guessing CB & GK. Great away support as always and mingled with a few top fans! Those on here asking for DC to be given the boot as he's out of his depth , GET A f**king GRIP !!!! He's the best manager I've seen in my lifetime at the gas (I'm 34) he's bound to make mistakes from time to time as he's a young up and coming manager. Please don't forget all the good he's done / doing due to a , as DC put it a transitional period , were better than that aren't we ? Question , criticise, and air frustrations by all means but to say he and our team is out of its depth is pathetic! UTG !!!!! I'm 60 and followed the rovers since I was 7 and this must be one of the misjointed teams I have seen away from home completely clueless with a clueless manager how come we can play good at home and so sh**e away our away form used to be excellent doc and most of the squad are out of their depth so it's time for dc to ring major changes starting with himself Football is crazy these days how can you even consider sacking DC there's no one out there who could do a better job. Id have him in charge even if we got relegated this season. |

Not as awful as Shrewsbury and for 44 minutes we were the better team.Alas second half,Passing was awful,no flair and three of our players(Gaffers ,Locks and Byron)simply not good enough by a mile.

Get a grip you utter joke. I cant be the only person who can see all the DC bashing tonight is from posters with not many posts? If the bashing was from posters with lots of posts, who I respect and trust I'd take them more seriously. But I know who, and what to believe. I won't tell You can call me Al. though, as I'll probably get a ban.....  DC has lost the plot has why sign Partington and not play him, replace Leads with a right winger behind James, another right winger. Keep Locks in the team but tell McC to do one, pick Gaffney who's completely out of sorts but not pick Easter. As things stand I can't see us picking up another point away from home this season. |

A good week for Walsall this week....beat Rovers 3-1 to follow last Saturdays 4-1 demolition of league leaders Shef Utd. Walsall were nothing special,they just defended well compared to us. The same problems are still apparent and still happening and i'm sorry but it wateres me off. I can take getting beat but to gift teams goals like today must be sorted and soon,hopefully our new signings will help. I guess the positive from it is ,that,teams are scoring from the very few chances they get on target.Which probably means they are gilt edged chances.Many of these are very poor errors...such as passing to an opponent on the edge of the box or completely failing to mark a player. The general play seems to be fine as is the general defending...else teams would be getting far more shots on gtarget. As DC has mentioned the players don't need chastising they need some help. 11 conference/league two players stepping up is good but you can not have ALL four defenders struggling to perform to the standard required ,you can get away with one being off their game. Spo this is where the help is needed players to share the load bring in new skills and abilities/ A player just being experienced doesn't make them good....Rovers had plenty of experienced league one and two level players in the past who added little to the squad performance. Two more players are likely to arrive in the next week or so and they hopefully will add to the variations the squad can now have. As has been said ,upto now the home form is great there is little to do to make that better. If you list the home results the statement "we need wholesale changes to the team" then looks ridiculous. Changing the personel and tactics away from home is the issue.

Four defenders would've helped us not concede, having back 2 has we did for most of the second half was absolute suicide. I'd actually go as far as praising locks and Clarke for only conceding 2 on the second half |

So the only player to get a truly positive mention was Tom Lockyer. Interesting, and suggesting to me that he is not out of his depth, but has to cut out the errors that have crept into his game. This could be partially down to mental or physical tiredness, having been pretty much ever present for 3 years. Maybe a rest/holiday is the way forward for him, with the acknowledgment that he regains his place afterwards. |
