Time to regroup, pull ourselves together and show what we are made of. Optimistic that we will be able to keep it tighter at the back. I'm going 1-1
Local football all frozen off this morning and now wish I was going to Walsall. Good luck and safe travels to those that are, wrap up warm!

Can't go today disappointed i cant be part of the gas invasion. I think we might see 3-5-2 today if Leadbitter is fit. The little foreign lad ran things for a while at the mem I reckon we might play an extra one in the middle (Sinclair) to limit his space. Safe journey to all the travelling gas army. UTG

On my way down from foggy North Wales really looking forward to the game, away games have become my "home games now since my Dad and Brother died last year, returning to Brizzle less and less.Love the atmosphere of away games, hate it when a small minority abuse our own players! ! So let's get behind the boys and drive them to a win UTG

So after a week that seems to have really livened up the forum, for better or worse I don't know we head for another very difficult away game with yet again a fantastic following of gasheads. Is it going to be six away defeats on the trot- if football was based on the last result you would think so but we all know football doesn't work that way and we go into todays game hopefully all optimistic of a good result.
What is my take on the weeks events? Well I will be straight to the point- if I could take out of DC's action the "These players will not be selected again" I would say that coupled with the two signings I am not too disappointed. I feel that in our current situation for todays game it would have been better to have delayed until Monday anyway because it seems ridiculous to go to Walsall with no defenders on the bench (which seems likely) when we are paying Maccas wages and surely Jammers experience would be useful to have available as well. It really is a sad end to both players careers with us and to be honest I feel a shade disrespectful by our Manager. The two youngsters and Puddy and Lawrence I can fully understand from their recent performances. As regards not spending any money on permanent signings I have no problem whatsoever with the Sweeney signing other than the fact it missed the deadline for todays game which makes it look a bit strange. What I would say on this subject is that would everybody have been satisfied with the signing if we had been paying £250,000 to Wimbledon for his services? I think most would have looked at the signing as being a good positive one so I would say what is the difference? It will be very interesting to see what players follow and what players make the bench today. I also wonder if Leadbitter is fit because that too would make the Macca decision more understanding.
Lets hope for a well fought point at least today and maybe next week will look a whole lot rosier! UTG

Personally I hope we go 4-4-2 and take the game to them

UTG The difference is £250K is a few seasons transfer funds to us, to Stoke it's a half a month's players wage, don't forget P'boro somehow manage to pay £750K for James! The concern for me is Locks, whose being struggle to adapt is now going to be our most experienced Div 1 central defender plus we have an inexperienced goalie, on paper at least that looks a recipe for disaster.

I remember taking my future wife to Fellow Park in 1988, it was a cold afternoon and there was snow around the ground and the pitch must have been frozen. We stood in the away end against a brick wall it was cold, it was her first game and we drawed 0-0. She said to me what do you see in this but she has had to listen to me and our lads for thirty years. Come on the GAS, we can do this UTG.
